Was never under any circumstances leaving Collingwood. Going harder for him would have distracted us from what was a very good trade period for a change

Only round one and already a reminder of why I don’t spend much time on here anymore. Lots of very precious posters.

We seemingly can’t even enjoy a win in round one and first win over Collingwood since 2017.

Enjoyed the game played in perfect conditions but boy did we waste f50 opportunities in q1, reminded me of 2009 prelim, was it 2g 6b? Martin an absolute key, English complementing him and Keath oh so solid. Bailey Williams was very confident and got caught out a few times and even his kicking was not up to standard. Dale showed some flair in defencw which was a surprise to me.

Big key was our Hawthornesque use of short kicks to set up play. This tactic takes full advantage of the new rule and was really used to advantage.

Can't complain about much. Efficiency going inside 50 probably the only thing that needs work on but a really complete performance, everybody chipped in a little and it was a really dominant performance from the midfield. The balance was perfect in the middle.

Yeah absolutely, been cruelled by injury but some players are either never going to leave or will only leave interstate. Moore is a 1 player club and good luck to them

Agree wholeheartedly but also the next 3 quarters. Need to improve forward entry to go further this year

Great to be at the game and enjoy the atmosphere. My chicken burger the low light of the night. I liked Bont's shout out to the fans when he accepted the cup, and the first few minutes were electric.

My uber driver home was a collingwood supporter who was at the game. He joked that he wouldn't pick me up because I was wearing my doggies scarf, and we ended up having some good banter on the way home. He is nervous about playing Carlton, he reckons Carlton will be fired up.

Great to go into round 1 a favourite against a good side and win relatively comfortably. Not used to that.

As nice as it would’ve been to take more of our chances, Collingwood have a very good backline, like very good, and so that’s just a room for improvement.

it’s nice that despite that we could beat a good team just by brutalising them all game around the ball.

Baz, Laith, Naughton, Macrae, Bont, Libba and all the backs really impressed me

I know Moore is a gun but did anyone notice the amount of times we had the ball 60 out and 20-30m away we had Bruce, Naughts and English just standing there with their arms up? Our movement inside 50 is deplorable. It can’t be this hard surely? It can’t be a game plan?
