So good to see us take the game on and get that result.

Maynard and Checkers were huge tonight. De Goey in the midfield made us competitive again in there. We did a lot wrong but we dared to do enough right and it paid off.

After our fifth behind in the last quarter and our repeat inside 50s I thought there was an air of the grand final about, only roles reversed - that we could jag the win despite tailing for most of the night. Superb performance to keep WC to 1 behind in the last 50 odd minutes.

Credit to Maynard who done his best Toovey impression on Darling, Hoskin-Elliott who battled outside his weight division in a foreign role, DeGoey who was huge especially towards the end around the footy and Mihocek who presented well all night. It was our effort and intent to take the game on across the team that won the game though.

Hard to single out anyone individually in the last, but Grundy, Crisp, Sidebottom, Pendlebury and De Grey were all huge. Cox kept presenting despite the ball being put on his head, Maynard was great down back, Mihocek brilliant, WHE played his role when down back, Sier important in the last too. What a win, almost makes the last few weeks worth it. Makes it mean so much more.

Grundy was brilliant

Mihocek and Cox were both really good, kicked 7.1 together.

Reminded me our last win over the eagles at Docklands.

Eagles Led almost all game and looked Safe then we put our Foot Down in last and got over the Top of Them and only looked like winning in the last 10 minutes or so
