Was that Goddard he cleaned up @ 00.47?

He wasn't our greatest player by any stretch but he was genuinely likable and I'm sad to see him go even if it is in the best interests of the club.
Yep, cleaned up BJ alright.

Agreed, he wasn't the great player to have played the game, but he was extremely likeable and exciting.

looks to be a bit unit...

alternative talent, yay!!! Yoda_ will be pleased.

Jonny Rayner is a boss as name as well

Has pedigree as well, which I like if we're going to go down the cat. B path, less teaching time than someone plucked from the US. 2009 TAC cup team of the year centreline... Rayner, Martin, Bastinac, fair company that is

who were the on-ballers?

my understanding is that ledger has moved back to wa to play with freo or wc.

Nah he's happy to continue his career anywhere, of course he'd be happy if it was in WA but it really doesnt concern him. Was never homesick at any stage. It wasnt a factor in him leaving the Saints, the lack of opportunity was one of many issues.

Why does it exist? Is it for the rando guys who havn't been registered to football for x amount of time or something?

The list allows any club to recruit an athlete who has not been registered in an Aussie rules competition for three years.

Sanctions or no sanctions this is exactly what the club should be doing with the rookie lists. It continues a seriously impressive run of list management/recruiting for the last 5 to 6 years.

Does anyone know whether you can have multiple players on this rookie B list? My googling of Joseph Forrester seems to confirm that he has not yet made up his mind between signing an NRL contract and taking the punt down here with us.

Gaining alot of Speed into our squad lately
Good. I reckon it's going to be more and more important as football evolves.

It's to encourage clubs to attract players from non traditional areas such as other sporting backgrounds or from other countries. Basically it removes some of the risk from recruiting a guy who hasn't held a football in his life or hasn't played in a number of years.
