Disposal skills have hurt us all year to varying extents. Tonight was at ultra extreme level.
I lost count of the number of easy targets missed. I tried to define these as an option where tha ball could fall in 5 meter radius for a longish kick and still be marked. These are unforgivable at this level.

The other real absolute killers are when a player has a slight break on his opponent so the ball just needs to be kicked to advantage to make for an easy receipt. These kicks require a bit of skill and we were woeful in this area, just pathetic.

A comment on game plan/style, we just struggle so badly with a strong press/zone. Our Plan B, C and D all seem to be to kick long to Cloke, just so so predictable. Comes back a little to an inability to kick with skill to advantage so a 50/50 become a 75/25 outcome.

Overall this 22 we had on the park lacks pace, class and disposal skills. The second ruck/2nd key forward is not working and needs a change. Its placing enormous pressure on Cloke and making the forward line way very easy to counter. We all loved Elliots grab, but seriously it's a 1 in a few 100 event, a little bloke last in line with 3 taller defenders in front of him....

Finally a comment on Swanny. I dont want to see 40 possesion games aganst bottom 4 or 5 sides, I'd prefer 25 odd influential touches, with good meters gained against the top sides. Hopefully starting next week. If it means changing his work load, resting him, playing him forward against lower sides, then do it!!
