JJ is available for selection after the bye according to the doggies website. Which puts him in the same boat as Boyd. I had him at the start and he absolutely monstered the first few rounds. I'm also worried that him back will affect boyds scoring as Boyd did not tonne up until round 5 when JJ was not there. JJs scores in those 4 were 130, 123. 70 and 97 in a game he got injured before 3qt. Ownership rates are Boyd 13%, Laird 14% and JJ 2%. Considering I already have Shaw, Docherty, Simpson, Bartel and Rich which are all over 15% ownership, thinking JJ will provide that POD in defence and I assume a lot of people will be jumping on laird next week to complete their defence which will leave me to pick up a nice POD in round 15.

Am I crazy or????

my other option is get laird anyway and then go Rich to JJ which will burn a trade but only 40k or Adams to JJ which will cost around 90k

Laird for me. Consistency is what's required out of DEFs this season & he seems to provide it. Plus, the Crows have a cosy draw moving forward.

I have the same D7 decision to make & am going to switch them around at D6/D7 through until after the byes. I'm waiting as long as possible to make that last upgrade as I don't think you lose too many points in DEFence (+ it gives time to see how JJ goes upon return).

Eventually, it will mainly come down to whether opposition coaches stop tagging Rich or not. Right now it feels like the Lions could have Danger, Pendles & Hanneberry playing for them, and Rich would still get tagged!

I'd go Zerrett plus Trengove. Especially if you can move Zerrett to your fwd line eventually, he should be easily top 10 fwd while i don't think Lewis will be top 20 mids, and Trengove a lot better JS than Jansen

I agree with the above, grab Zerrett and Trenners
Don't settle for a mediocre mid at this stage of the year. Save up and grab somebody who could go 110+ for the remainder of the year

Jansen is surely the safer option
Lions have nothing to play for (except a higj draft pick) and the Hawks would drop a kid even after a BoG performance

That's what I've been mulling over. I will grab Phillips, but most of my mid rookies I would look at trading have made **** all cash. I might have to cull one early to reopen the DPP if I choose to grab the mid.
