Soooo what's everyone doing on their ps5 ?..

Gran Turismo 7 and Demons Souls are my (only) games of choice thus far. I plan on downloading..... Rocket League at some point . I need to update my ps+ subscription and then sort out my ssd upgrade before I start adding more games to the collection.

About to have a crack at the Cult of the Lamb plat while it’s quiet.

I also have Returnal installed and jump into some co-op every now and then.

Cult of the Lamb does not run great on the PS5, had a few crashes already.

Other than that, it’s such a good game. The only thing I really dislike is randomised weapons for each run, there’s a couple of weapons where as soon as I get them I pretty much give up.

Should be a fun platinum!

Yeah it’s great, had zero issues on my first play through on PC so surprised PS5 isn’t running great.

But yeah always nice to support Aussie developers.

PS2 had the best games IMO.

Still expensive for what many might be used to but this price is about as good as it will get for a while

After 7 or 8 days of "preparing for shipment" I contacted Amazon to see what was up and apparently Sony/Amazon UK were selling these with 0 stock. I said I was happy to wait so they sent me a $20 voucher to use on another purchase but a few days later I cancelled the order anyway and proceeded to purchase through JB instead which are currently on sale for $399 at the time of writing.

Quick review: super light. Like Pulse headset levels of light. It also feels a lot like the Pulse headset. I don't go throwing my stuff around and look after it, but things like the volume wheel and stuff don't exactly feel premium, but they're good enough. Boom mic is awesome because I hate those ones in ear cups. Great that it mutes when folded up and the controller mic light will turn amber if muted. Being a Sony product it fully integrates with the PS5 showing battery and stuff. Audio mix on headset is nice, I haven't had that on a console headset in a while. Biggest beef is out of the box the default flat audio profile is absolutely poo. To change the profiles you have to connect them to a PC and download the Inzone hub. There are 3 default profiles, flat, bass boost and music. These are all equally shit and look like they were done by a tone deaf work experience kid who just pushed a few sliders around. Bass boost is flat but with a bump on the 3 bottom bands. Music profile, I... I don't know what to say. It starts up with the low bands bumped and the high bands almost bottomed out.

Once tuned these are actually pretty nice sounding compared to a lot of other gaming headsets. The bass is punchy but you won't get the sub bass extension that you'll typically find in a headphone (as in real headphone, not gaming headset) at this price point. The highs zing and aren't fatiguing. I'll provide the EQ that I'm currently working with that anyone reading can feel free to use as a starting point.

The idea of this profile is to give some punchy lows and bass that goes "boom". Low mids are down to avoid mudiness and the 4-18k is for definition of things like gun shots and ricochets as well as dialogue. For music this is where cymbals get their sizzle. The 125 and 250 are the hardest to tune. Boosting them a bit gives you more body but can muddy the low end a bit.

Only reason I bothered doing this is because out of the box the profile is junk and I'd hate for anybody to drop money on them and then be bitterly disappointed.

Finished Cult of the Lamb again, unfortunately one of the trophies bugged so I’ll have to wait for a patch to pop the platinum.

It’s probably my favourite game this year, even with it running like garbage on PS5.

Quote the Australian Consumer Law.

They can't sell an item like that that screws up in 12 months under normal use. That's way under the expected life span of the item. They can repair or replace.
