He runs out games consistently well so I've got no reason to question his endurance or running power there. His testing for the 20m sprint wasn't outstanding in pre season nut was still above average for a midfielder, so if he can be taught how to drive his legs put of congestion better I think he'll be seen as a bit better athletically.
Thanks 🙏
I have feeling he could be a Ben Hobbs-esq slider on draft night. The value for inside mids who don’t have a standout athletic attribute seems to hit their value. IMO.

Silly question but is he related to Ryan - those are both Tasmanian and share the same last name but that's all I can tell.

Ryan Schoenmakers.
Arie Schoenmaker.

And isn't Ryan from SA?

Edit: Ryan's from the Norwood Legs.

so I missed the letter S and I forgot which two headed state they came from. But thank you this clears up that they are not related.

Can you split Darcy Wilson and Caleb Windsor for me please PMBangers? Pros/Cons for each?
Comparing them to each other I think there's a couple of key differences.

I think Wilson is less of a 'straight line' player at the moment, whether its raw agility or just confidence he can work around opponents better when under pressure. Wilson has more form in spots other than the wing as well and I'd argue he's slightly more creative with his disposal heading forward.

Windsor plays with slightly more speed and has a more penetrating kick when in space, and holds his width better so often has more opportunity on the outside than Wilson

It's sort of why I expect Wilson ends up a forward at the next level and Windsor stays on a wing

Appreciate the write up, thank you.

PMBangers hey just curious who in the draft you think has the highest ceiling? Everything going perfectly and filling their deficits. Is Reid the highest ceiling or is their another?

Bloody good question. I look forward to bangers answer. From a two bit nobody perspective I would call out jed Walter...Reid as good as he is, doesn't give me the impression of upside potential that horn-francis did at the same stage but Walter does, all be it in a different position... would love to be wrong and see the tongala kid tear it apart though..

There's no real one answer sorry, if you look at my last rankings post then how I've broken them down in the tiers is essentially how I see their ceilings. If I had to choose one, I'd lean towards Ethan Read, at his height the way he can move, win the ball at ground level and use the footy is extremely rare, and I think if everything develops perfectly he'll end up a ruck that regularly gathers 25+ disposals.
There's talk James Leake could go as high as pick 6 to Melbourne?
It's cheap of me to say but it's not a massive shock to see him being linked to picks in that top group, intercepting and being efficient on the rebound is such a key part in starting scoring chains now that someone with his marking strength is always going to be sought after, or you may even see him as a potential Fritsch like forward as an undersized marking target.

Is there an Adam Goodes type, maybe a Gary Ablett Snr type the Swans could pick up in the 3rd or 4th round? :)
Sorry RUNVS, I'm not nominating for the draft this year

Interviewed Arie at the combine and he said majority of clubs (up to that point) hadn't grilled him that much about the off field stuff in comparison to some of his on field habits. For the most part I think clubs were impressed with how he responded to the incident and managed to make the best of the situation.
Of all the Tassie kids he's the one I think will be least susceptible to any go home risk, seems really keen to get out ASAP
Talent, footy nous and athletic profile aside... which draftees gave the best interviews this year?

I'll be honest I didn't get to do/ be present for too many this year, but Archer Reid and Arie were pretty good, both really down to earth and realistic about their years
Tell me about Aiden O'Driscoll
He's quick!
Obviously athletic and has a good endurance base which was on display through the season with his commanding running on the wing. He's not got the best defensive game which is a bit annoying, particularly given he's likely a forward at the next level, so he'll be looking to improve that to adapt to the pressure forward role I imagine, but he's hit the scoreboard well for a guy playing mostly on the wing so should transfer that to a forward role well.

Which Ruckman is more ready to go out of Green and Edwards?
Both are 3-4 year projects I'd say, but I'd have Edwards ahead on both ceiling and readiness, only slightly on the latter tho

You don't think the Cats will grab Angus Hastie as a replacenent down the track for 30 year old Tom Stewart? Maybe they think as a mad Cats supporter they'll get him back when Tom hangs up the boots? Cats do love their Falcons...
It's a possibility, he's in that range and the Cats really should just be taking best available in their eyes imo
