This won't be popular as I view Lmac much different than most.

If Sheezel wasn't deemed to be captain in the future I'd would have put it as Xerri...but because of that I'd go with LMAC as sole captain until Sheezel is ready.

This co-captain shit needs to never be in football, it is just stupid. I think releasing Jy from the role could also help him and I fully back in Lmac to be the leader.

We're not talking the VFL team... his ship has sailed.

Captains: Jy and Harry/Larkey

Vice Captains: Xerri and Larkey/Harry

Leadership group: Parker, LDU, Scott, Daniel

Captain: Sheezel
Vice Captain: Wardlaw
Leadership Group: Parker, Darling, Daniels, Xerri, McKercher

I think it is time to turn a new leaf, we need people driving leadership who know what it takes to be successful and for them to bring up the next generation of leaders. We can't have the captain or vice captain be borderline not best 18. We need the captain to have the drive for success and for them to be able to inspire those around them.

Sheezel has the leadership qualities, he seems put off by the bullshittery that has been going on the lack of people being as invested as he is to succeed. We need him as the figurehead to drive the bar of acceptance up a few notches.

Wardlaw provides that bit of mongrel and class. He and Sheezel have put pen to paper, I don't have LDU in the leadership group because he is uncommitted and seems to be happy with his personal achievement rather than team success, it is why he doesn't play team oriented football instinctively imo.

I didn't include Phillips despite leadership qualities because he isn't best 22.

Xerri has done it tough, plays with mongrel and aggression, made the AA squad and was unlucky not to be the AA ruckman, I think he is a good role model.

I think Jy needs to focus on just finding a role he can excel at, I was reading an old article how he had taken JHF under his wing and I think it kind of highlights his impotence as a captain to inspire those around him or to influence them to do better. I think Thomas' career death spiral also showed there was poor influence from the leadership group on him. I think they could have and should have done more to try and help him against himself, much like Max Gawn tried to do with Clarry.

I think we kind of need a hard reset, much like when Carey was given captaincy of the club. I want to see Parker, Darling and Daniels (I know it is Daniel), come in and say, okay, we need a fresh start, we are going to set the standards and fast track leadership in the next tier of leaders.

I KNOW we aren't going to do any of this, will just roll out a safe "more of are the same shit"... because we don't want to hurt any feelings.

Daniel’s out for mine, Chom in and I can get around this.

I would want it to happen.

I noticed you missed Larkey.

Good. Hasn’t shown leadership qualities when the game isn’t going his way.

I would love to see Harry lead our club next year but he will most likely have to wait.

What I think will happen-
C- Simpkin
VC- Sheezel
DVC- Xerri

Parker, Larkey, LDU & Corr in the leadership group.

Lukey Mac needs to relinquish his role and focus solely on his football. Love his attack on the ball but he's way too prone to howlers.

Simpkin will be lucky to be in the side

Ideally:

Jy on his own

Sheez, Larkey and Parker backing him up

Birth years in that group are satisfying as ****. 1992, 1998, 1998, 2004

Mach's passieren, Alastair (won't happen but)
