And remember this statement from AFL Footy Ops Director Steven Hocking from 2019:

Currently, every goal is silently reviewed in the AFL Review Centre (ARC) regardless of whether an umpire requests one.

Why not points as well?

Because play stops after a goal but not after a point. If every point was reviewed before the player can kick out you can add about an extra twenty minutes to every game ever played. No thanks.
