Enjoyable game at Mt Barker. Plenty of young talent out there.

If Both clubs can hantoon to their best players for 200 games, ie more than in the past, they both should become regular finalists.

But you cant blame kids wanting to go back home and play in a footy city.

Suns forward line is a pick 2,3 and 6 , pick 3 18 yrs old other two are 23 yrs old 😆

I get they will try and fire things up, but a song after every bloody goal on Friday night, people yelling at you to get you excited, making outlandishing statements, playing music when there is a quiet patch before the game and during quarters to fill the gap is over the top.
It wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for the generic AFL 'no home team' branding meaning that it was the exact same songs being played at every game. I reckon I've heard Lonely Boy at 5 different games and counting this week.

I just saw Johnny Haysman (Rundle Mall Johnny) at The Parade. It's been years since the last time I saw him. He was dancing to the DJ's tunes, wearing a Port PB guernsey.

Saw him late last year too - OzAsia festival right where gather round is on the Torrens. Absolute legend, he was always at raves back on the 90's.

Haha it was played here a couple of songs ago.

2 great long set shot goals by Ben King, judging the wind perfectly. Must have employed a goal kicking coach.
Walter needs to borrow his kicking coach. He’s had two set shots for 1.1 and both times his weight has fallen away to his left as he kicks. I reckon he’ll be a 50:50 set shot kicker until he fixes that.

Gather Round has been great except for one thing.

It should be renamed Making Unnecessary Loud Noise Round.

At Mount Barker for my 4th game and it contnues out here.

No problem with loud run out songs and the club song being blasted, but the constant BBL type need to make a loud noise at every opportunity is unnecessary if you think the game is good enough and spectacular enough.
It’s all about Australia being Americanized.
It’s slowly crept into our society and taken over like a Cancer.

For a Port game in the old days it was packed like Sardines.
Standing up you basically couldn’t move 6 inches in any direction.
Vague memories as a kid (mid 80's) of dad knowing a steward and watching the game from inside the fence. Was chokas. Good days
