You’re pretty up on that part of the world, can you see footy taking off there ?

Sydney is locked in as the eastern suburbs and northshore team and inner west team.. ie the wealthier and glitzyer part of town.

GWS have the talent to win but Western Sydney is so diverse they are 20 maybe 30 years from making a solid base and not being subsidised so heavily by the AFL.

Sydney in the mid 90s had 4 big changes off field. Barassi the footy evangalist became coach then a board member, Richard Coless moved from Perth to Sydney and became Chairman and the best footy administrator in the game, Kelvin Templeton was working in Sydney and became CEO and the Super League War was a massive free kick.

GWS dont have these 3 individuals driving things and there wont be another Rugby League war to give them a leg up like the Swans got.
