You beat me to it. I was going to update my making the Top 4 and building to a flag thread.
Before the first final I said there is a 50% chance of the a QF loser going out in straight sets ie almost a gurantee 1 of the 2 would.. 30 hours ago I would have picked Port not GWS.
Since and including 2014 when Geelong 3rd and Freo 4th went out in straight sets, the only year at least 1 QF loser hasnt gone out in straight sets is 2017 and 2020.
2 went out last year Melbourne 2nd and Port 3rd.
Before that it was only Port 2001 and WCE 2007 losing SF in extra time.
About half of the 2nd loss of straight sets games has been single digit margins.
