Port and West Lakes have both qualified for Finals together only 6 times:
  • 2001
  • 2002
  • 2003
  • 2005
  • 2007
  • 2017

There’s only 1 Finals Showdown (2005), but it’s not worth talking about it.

They both have missed together also 6 times:
  • 2000
  • 2010
  • 2011
  • 2018
  • 2019
  • 2022

Since 1997, Finals score is tied: 14-14.
I remember that 2005 game against the crows, the week before we had disposed of NM at Docklands and Andrew McLeod disposed of us the following week at AAMI

Sanfl finals featuring Norwood, Sturt, Glenelg and Centrals.

If I had swallowed something toxic and needed to throw up, I'm in business.

They just put up the Advertiser SANFL team of the year graphic.. it's like the who's who of AFL reject potatoes.

No AFL in the sanfl

The thing is Collingwood won a flag with a few guys that would be state league plodders at Port.

Will Langford had 29 touches and 10 clearances in the 2014 Prelim.

The talent thing never looks worse than when we’ve just had our annual bum’ole obliteration courtesy of Super Ken, but the whole thing is hilariously chicken-egg.

If Connor Rozee and Zak Butters refuse to fire a shot, there’s not much hope of our bottom-6 squadbods and kids bobbing up for a performance.

No need to add the qualifier, Billy Frampton and Oleg Markov are state league plodders at Collingwood. You can win a flag with a few state league plodders if your team is well coached and has belief.

GEELONG forward Gary Rohan is set to undergo surgery after fracturing his skull in the VFL on Saturday. Rohan was hurt during the Cats' semi-final loss to Southport at GMHBA Stadium.

Bloody hell, that's awful. Hope he is ok to make a full and speedy recovery.

Been there done that, hopefully he’s lucky enough to get a full recovery and no lasting symptoms or weakness.

(…. and all his red hair falls out!)

The Western Bulldogs will demand a sky-high price for departing free agent Bailey Smith given his status as a 23-year-old star midfielder about to enter the prime of his career. Bulldogs midfielder Smith has officially asked out of the club without naming likely destination Geelong as his club of choice.

The Giants' executive general manager of football Jason McCartney has been fined $20,000 for making contact with Swans forward Tom Papley during Saturday's qualifying final.

Not bad player, bit of a show pony but.

Is Houston still considering getting back to Victoria, would be worth asking the ?

The belief that you need to be 8 x AA + Brownlow Medallist stacked Geelong of 2007 in order to be "premiership ready", is just ridiculous in the modern game.

Sure - you need your A Graders, but your side can and will feature some plodders who can win you a flag if used tactically well and given the belief to execute their assigned role.

Mark Keane staying at crows, 3 year deal. Wonder if his manager played Adelaide with Collingwood interest?
