I can understand the annoyance with the umpires and everything but **** me I am so proud of the effort of some of our boys out there today. Youngy, Wingard, Jonas, Blee, Schulzy, Cobra. A hell of a game of footy, to not lie down and die when all seemed lost, was absolutely fantastic. I love this club. I ******* love this club

You tanked brah?

well done to the entire team we are obviously a work in progress and imo have taken massive steps forward and players have responded positively since buddah has taken the reigns, a job well done :thumbsu: i hope in some capacity you retain a posi. at the club.
To get redden and lobbe up and runnin will be quite a luxury in the ruck/fwd department, throw in some encouraging performance's from the young guns and things look gr8 for the new H.C. and the coming yrs :thumbsu:

This is where our cotton-wooling of young players has irked me this year. Redden's first few matches were evidence enough that he was up to AFL level in a big way. If fitness was an issue, we should have benched the Daniel Stewart experiment immediately and just gone with the selection policy of always playing Renouf or Lobbe as second ruck to support Redden and spend some time up forward to provide a big presence.

Redden is absolutely a great ruck prospect. He knows he has to get fit. He has a real feel for the ruck caper, competes much, much better than Lobbe aerially and in the hit-out department and is already very capable at ground level. I also noticed today that he made repeated efforts to drop back into the hole in front of Riewoldt and helped out our defenders both in the air and on the ground. His effort to lunge at McGuane and contribute to forcing a point was valuable in the final outcome of the game.

I want to see our ruckmen dropping back to take those tall marks in front of the opposition forwards. I've missed that over the past two years.

Redden >>> Lobbe > Renouf >>> Stewart.

Let no coach of Port Adelaide ever forget this.

Great effort by the boys. We were up against EVERYTHING. 1870.

......DonDraper is a beautiful man
Loved the effort today and Brad Ebert is just a pure workaholic.

Redden can be Mumford if he wants it

Delist McCarthy, Phillips and Sal and unfortunately Tommy and Surj as we need some speed at the back as crumb goals kill us

We have a pulse

Havent seen the second half as I was driving back to the big Piza but had to stop at Wakefield to listen properly to the last two minutes. How crucial is that ****ing rubbish touched goal in the 1st now? Hopefully that dickhead umpire doesnt umpire again. Missed his hands by 2 feet.

Intrigued to watch the last half

WHAT IS WRONG WITH SURJAN WHY DOES EVERYONE WANT HIM DELISTED

Some people see him as an easy target. Gets lumped in with the plodders because of his 2011 season and missing half of 2012.

It is worrying for 2013, though. He's not getting any younger and has Jonas plying his trade very well. Here's hoping the new coach sees him as a key cog in our defence.

I liked the way we were able to kill the Richmond momentum in the last quarter, from what they built in the third. We withstood it with Buddah's, stack the defence tactics, and were able to clog them up and get a couple of scores on the rebound.

Strange yes, but we know what that mob can do with that crowd behind them.

I'm sure our players would've called for a review if they weren't too busy celebrating an obvious goal.

Who can request the umpire to call for the third umpire review???
I remember a home game this year where it was used like 3 or 4 times! Typical AFL with so many rule changes, pretty soon umpires will be wearing iPads so they understand all the rules.

Redden was awesome today. Gonna be a gun ruckman with more games under his belt, amazing hands.

Yep. Maric was in line for the A-A ruck spot for a fair chunk of this year and Redden matched him every step of the way. Came back on after smacking his head hard on the ground too, which was gutsy.

Yep, and me too
Great fathers day present
So happy with the effort
Not a win, priority pick chance not hurt
We came back
Wingard, and young, just terrific
We had run, and we fought, and we didn't give in
Despite Buddha's best efforts at the end we almost wonit
But even though we didn't Richmond can only be angry. I they would feel like they lost
Just an honest effort, the couldn't be more proud

No just desist all the dead weight, and get a real coach, get the new fitness guy, move on rodhe, and I'll be happy
Nice to play at the mcg
Great way to go into pre season

Another thing I want to mention, Aaron Young. Has all the commitment to the contest of Matt Thomas but with far more skill and far less brain farts.

He and Jonas have made Thomas and Logan obsolete IMO. Everyone used to talk about how they should remain in the team until something better comes along, well now it has. Young and Jonas have all the commitment of Thomas and Logan but they have football ability to go with it.

That said, I should say that to his credit, Logan was actually pretty good today. Not good enough to deserve another contract, but if that was his final game for the club it was a good way to go out.

Was actually fairly impressed with you guys today a very good effort and unlucky not to win. If you can bring that sort of footy more often next year you will be a good side.

You'd almost suggest if we were going to keep Rodan on the list next year, he should be made the permanent sub.

Then I wonder why he can't play well for a whole game?
