Bulldogs are no doubt a wonderful side and were the side to beat all year but for a month or so pre finals. Perhaps they were even foxing a little.

One A-grade midfielder short, it was our issue all year but we covered it briefly by playing the Quadrangle and got ahead of ourselves (for the hundredth time???) over beating some literal geriatrics.

I think we really got fooled as there are only 2-3 other teams better than us and we caught the Bulldogs at an opportune time. They are the real deal and we choked.

Couldn’t even make a contest of it. Very disappointing.

Knowing Aliir would intercept and chucking schache on him, knowing lycett would dominate the ruck and thus our mids aswell risk martin on him, knowing mckenzie is undersized and is the worst 1 on 1 defender in the league chuck naughton on him. Knowing that we want to attack and leave hannan spare. Knowing that when we lost contested possessions and ground balls and we get smashed.

Thats coaching. Thats analysing your losses and doing something about it.

Meanwhile Ken reckons our round 23 plan will stick in finals and have his **** in his hand for two weeks. This is totally on Ken. Continuing game plans like kicking to the right of screen and the inability to beat top sides in a regular season being the norm

Darcy has just been atrocious, not just this game but all year. How has a player we lauded for being tough, bleeding down the face while kicking his first goal, all aus last year, is unwilling to put his head down over the ball to pick it up, unwilling to do more than ****in jog to an opponent. There is lot I'm disappointed about tonight but man, DBJ'S fall has just been hard to watch.
