Positives:

Grundy and Witts were excellent, developing very nicely and both took another step up tonight imo. Both very athletic for their size.

Langdon was very impressive, excellent in 1 on 1 marking contests and has a great head on his shoulders.

Elliot is becoming consistently very very good

Blair played an excellent game, will keep himself in the team

Goldsack is getting close to career best form

Completely destroyed them for 3 quarters

Negatives:

I thought Adams was disappointing, pretty much all his kicks were shockers or 20 metre chips.

Dywer injuring his knee is a shame after he was really good early.. don't know what happened so hopefully it's minor.

Last quarter fade out is a concern, hard to say whether it's an attitude thing or fitness but Bucks clearly wasn't happy.

Other Notes:

A few of our taller guys like White and Frost were quiet.

Marley will be better after getting the first game back out of the way.

Daisy is a loser, the way he got into Ball after the smother was pathetic and shows he is a weak dog

Thoughts?

Last quarter fade outs after the Richmond game are unacceptable. Jesse White had a mare. Otherwise all positives... pending news on Dwyer.

I'm putting the last quarter fade out to the players minds already drifting to the bye and rest. Also conserving our players to ensure no injuries. A good win no injuries no worries!

Agree about daisy. When peddles threw him to the ground on that incident I think it shocked him a little. Didn't want to engage in any body contact. Sucked in I reckon.
My good was the first 3 quarters. Tackling pressure and team running.
The bad: our kicking for goal. Against a better team we would have been in strife. Need to be better than 14 goals from 34 scoring chances

I think we can forget that last quarter. Yeah it was unacceptable. But if you think one afl side is literally going to be able to out run another for 4 quarters you'd have to ask some questions if you were the other team. What we need to learn is how to limit that last quarter to say 5-6 goals instead of 8. Can't be un happy with the game everyone new we had destroyed them by 3 quarter time, just got to limit that one quarter lapse and we will be good. Also awesome effort from a ridiculously un experienced back line.

Absolutely. Seen it so many times from our boys over the years.

Turn 5 & 2 !

Everything is winnable now.

POSITIVES---Pressure was good. Tackling was good. Young defense stood up again. Mid's defensive pressure was good.
NEGATIVE---Last qrt fade out again. Daisy not put to ground properly when he up-ended Luke Ball after smothering it with his face.

First time Taylor Adams ever played in a backline?

Held up reasonably.

Great first three quarters. Shocking last quarter but we clearly had no respect for the rabble of a club, so I don't really care. They are so bad it was hilarious to watch.

Positives:
-Jamie Elliott is a star
-Even when a gun mid of ours has their influence limited in terms of volume of possession, they impact the match (Beams).
-Dale Thomas makes us a 3 goal better side. Didn't find much of it but hit our players on the chest when he did. Good performance for us.
-Marley Williams and Langdon looked so so so good down back.

Negatives:
-I was quite bored to be honest.
-The boys probably starting thinking of what to buy from Dan Murphy's on the way home too early.

I am so happy that someone pointed this out. He was covering a hole left by Fasolo, didn't excel but was not the worst.

Plenty of positives I thought. Once again the pressure was excellent. For 3 quarters anyway. I hope the last quarter was just a case of taking the foot off the pedal.

Witts and Grundy continue to get better. Witts in particular I thought. Consistency from Elliott. Blair, Langdon, Goldsack, Frost, Dwyer all very good. I think this is where we improve. These 2nd tier players. You know what you generally get with Swan, SP, Beams etc. Still plenty of improvement imo.
Thomas was dreadful. Couldn't ask for more than that.

Negatives - White was quiet. So was Harry. The last quarter was frustrating to watch. Should have won by 12-13 goals, not 6.
