No way anyone is giving you pick 7 or 8 for just 12 and 29.
Remember, 12 and 18 is what it already cost to get pick 6.
I imagine that’s why nothing has been done yet

I wonder who they’re keen on? Jackson/Kemp/McAsey would be my guess given Ryder’s exit and the Hoff retiring.
Two reasons for Port to trade up:
1. Anticipation of a slider at Pick #7/#8/#9 (even more so if the rumours of Jackson going at #3 are to be believed).
2. Want to get in ahead of Geelong as they are both eyeing off the same player.
Which player?
Both Port Adelaide & Essendon have 3 picks in the first half of the 4th round. Are there any clubs that are expected to use a few late picks? Eg 2 picks over 60
Isn't it end up you get Langdon for free by shuffle your pick ?good transaction for you.Pick 8 for Freo’s pick 10 and either our 2020 second rounder (which they have) or theirs is one I can see happening. Lets Freo get two top 10 talents this year and match the Henry bid with 22 and later picks. Better outcome for them than say getting pick 7, Henry, 22 and another second rounder next year.
Not exactly free. We’d have downgraded 22 to 26 and 8 to 10. But close.Isn't it end up you get Langdon for free by shuffle your pick ?good transaction for you.
What will port do with all their picks they can’t into the draft?
For a future second either own or Fremantle. Look like Fremantle paying you to get rid of Langdon. Not exactly free. We’d have downgraded 22 to 26 and 8 to 10. But close.
Stephens would be the obvious target
This year fourth rounders don't have much value to anyone other than as points. So I expect they will try to trade out their third round picks for future picks. This way, at least they can use the point value of the fourth rounders and they should get more than enough back to cover the deficit for matching Mead. What will port do with all their picks they can’t into the draft?
Why would North do that?Cats to swap 24 and 36 to North Melbourne for 26 and 27.
Cats to add a future pick swap, slightly in Roos favour.
And why would we? There's not much splitting the pack between those picks.Cats to swap 24 and 36 to North Melbourne for 26 and 27.

They disappear before the draft, they need to condense their hand before the ruler gets run over their picks to match their (is it four?) primary list spots?Probably package them for future picks with another club on draft night

Port have to either trade these picks before 2pm this Friday or forfeit the picks beyond their list availability.
So is it official they already promote the two rookies or we just assume. Can't they promote them later.I think they can take in six picks. They have 32 on the senior list and a commitment to promote two rookies.
