So say right now your draft hand is 19,38,39,41,75
After this deal it would be 27,38,39,41,47

That’s worse.

It’s worse on face value and even worse when you look deeper, like that the talent probably drops off in the 20’s, or that they already have 3 picks after 19 and before 47 to target players with.

If you plan on only using 4 picks then the deal would not make sense

Firstly-- you haven't even got Richmond's current draft hand correct

It's 19,38, 39, 41, 56, 75-- so another pick in there than what you're suggesting-- therefore making the slide from 19 to 27 even less valuable when it's upgrading our 5th draft pick by 9 spots-- so giving up 8 spots for our first pick to gain 9 spots for our 5th pick is a horrible, horrible deal.

Personally I don't expect Richmond to use more than 4 picks anyway as we will likely upgrade some of our rookies (all of Stack, Pickett, Baker & Chol are currently rookies)

didnt see 56, play on then

Upgrading 75 to 47 is so meaningless in the context of downgrading pick 19 to 27 it’s not funny

Would you have traded your pick 8 and 73 for pick 14 and 55? Lol
The draft evens out after 10 so I wouldn’t do 8 for 14

But I would do 19 for 27 if the upgrade on the other end was large enough

But the upgrade has to be significantly better than a mid 3rd rounder (which would've become the clubs 5th pick).

I'd say the only situation as a Richmond supporter I'd accept 19 for 27 is if it was 27 & North's 2020 Second Rounder-- but they don't have one anymore.

Could do 19 for 27 and 30 but that would be overs for us imo and would need a future 3rd going back our way

Richmond don't need another 2019 Pick though... Richmond already have 3 Picks @ 38, 39 & 41, why would they want to split 19 for 27 & 30-- plus give away a future pick.

If Richmond trade 19 it will be for an upgrade or a 2020 pick, it definitely won't be for a downgrade like you're suggesting.

What combination of 14, 17, 24, cats future 1st and eagles future 1st do you reckon the deal will be.

14 and 24 for 9 i reckon or equivalent price to that.

We are coming for pick 8 9 or 10 it just depends who wants to deal and for what price.

Melbourne is considering three possibilities for its pick 8.

Geelong - 14 & 17
Freo - 10 & 22
Port - 12 & 18

Most likely is Freo, then Port then Geelong.

Very unlikely at this stage the Cats 14 & 24 gets them into the top 10.
