Why would we want to trade Corey for Dal Santo? If corey goes i reckon he will head back to perth, and the Eagles better give us at least their first round pick, and maybe the other selwood.
If that is what you expect to get for Corey he won't be going to the Eagles ! Not worth the Eagles first round pick (likely to be top 3 at this stage). In fact, not worth a straight swap for EITHER of West Coast's Selwoods !

i think the tigers are more in line to get warnock then melbourne...
i see us giving up say schultz or bowden with a 2nd or third depending on what player we give... for warnock....

richmond should target a player like mcphee...
he can play at both ends of the ground and is only 26...
we could give the bombers our 2nd pick plus a player....

That Warnock trade would never happen.

Would you guys really trade Lovett? Kind of player Freo needs imo.

your first pick i would say, and that isnt going to happen is it, or maybe your 2nd pick plus maybe a schammer, ??

im not sure if we would trade him, we have someone on the sidelines who is playing very similar to him but is on the sidelines for the rest of the year, Jason Winderlich, is just as quick, maybe even better than Lovett, he isnt black though. he is good over head, maybe not the trade value lovett has but is very good on his day.

Doubt that any of those would happen.

BTW For all trade goss, listen to KB and SEN ... After all it was the wise man KB who said Richmond was in the box seat to get Chris Judd :D

FWIW I reckon Andrew Walker is one player Carlton would consider trading and has of some value (Fev is going to re-sign within the next week or so)

why wont it happen???

shultz and a 3rd rounder is more then enough for warnock.

shultz is a very versatile player. can play forward and back.
shultz himself was a 1st rounder pick 12 .
warnock was just a 4th rounder. and he hasnt developed much body wise and has not yet proved that he will become a top ruckman is the years to come.
btw any1 see shultzes game today?

How does he suit our needs? He doesn't. Isn't a true key back and we've got Murphy and Campbell playing in the WAFL as far as back up forwards go.

Played loose across the back today. Was good but the eagles are a bigger joke than us at the moment.

If you or your team doesn't rate Warnock then don't try get him. It has been suggested that a new Warnock contract will be in the vicinity of 1 mil over three years. He's not just some bunny.

If you don't know anything about him you probably shouldn't comment

Compare the three pics. He was a stick when he was drafted.

Definately shown he is a capable ruckman, could easily lead a ruck division at another club. Also he was a 3rd rounder.

WE'll give you Courtney Johns for Walker

My trade thought:

Now, firstly, I don't want to lose Daniel Harris but I think he is under the spotlight and a little out of favour. JMO.

So, if he was to be placed on the table, what about Daniel Harris (with possibly Shannon Watt) for Aaron Davey. I also believe Aaron may not be enjoying his time at Melbourne. Again, JMO.

Why do a rebuilding melbourne want an average 26 midfielder and a below average 28(by next year) defender?

We've got 6 KP defenders under 25, so Watt is no chance at all. I would'nt mind Harris if we were in a better position, but were not and he's too old, maybe if he was 22. Those 2 players are worth 3rd round at best, actually i think you'd struggle to get anything for 28y.o Watt

So you're effectively offering a 3rd round and a 5th round pick equivalent for Davey. Wouldn't think so

A 26 year old average midfielder? In form he's amongst the top 2 clearance players in the competition, and you wouldn't be getting him anyway, he won't be going anywhere.

You wouldn't think so but you're way off the mark anyway. If you offered a third rounder for Harris you'd be laughed out of the place. But it's really a non issue anyway because he won't be leaving, and we don't really need Davey.

Top 2? That's a bit rich, he might have been at 1 stage, but now top 10 and that's at his best. You can't rate players just at how they play at their best it has to be an overal assessment. His best is good, but he can go missing, as do most players.

We also have McLean who's clearance numbers in a worse team are similar and Jones who is a bit behind Harris but is only 20, so we don't desperately need someone who's biggest strength is clearances

I should have clarified that from melbourne you wouldn't get more then a 3rd round, i wouldn't give up pick 17-18 for many 26 y.o's and he's not one of them. So that means individually the best melbourne would offer would be 3rd round at about pick 35.

But as you've said, i don't see your need for davey with thomas and campbell already in similar roles. Davey is more valuable to melbourne then harris and vice-versus.

But i noticed there was no leaping to the defence of Watt...

There was no leaping to the defence of either one. Even if Jones' and McLean's stats were similar to Harris it's because they give each other a chop out. Without Swallow for most of the year Harris is basically doing the in and under work on his own. And I can assure you, the Melbourne Football club would be offering a bit more than a third rounder for Harris.

As for Watt, he's 28 years old. And with clubs looking to hold onto picks with the new scavengers about to enter, we wouldn't get anything of any note for him. Besides, he's the only guy in our side that regularly beats Brad Johnson and also looks after Lance Franklin when he goes up the ground so he is still of some use to us even if it's minimal.

Yeh it's unlikely that they would give Geelong first draft pick plus scott Selwood for Joel Corey (Dream on Pal)

WTF ?
Why would any team want Jay Schultz btw ? The bloke just cannot play and it's crazy to think Freo would let Warnock go for that bum, plenty of other clubs like Carlton and Melbourne will offer the Dockers a much better trade then Schultz ...
