He's still crap.
Anyway next year we will be a young rebuilding team and he don't fit the bill.

a) I will let Essendon know that you are happy for them to trade for Prismall. They were waiting for your approval with baited breath.
b) Geelong would be fools not to take your offer, regardless they would have to be super-human not to avoid giving in to temptation and trading him, after your mouth watering sweetner of pick 71.
Prismall was actually selection 32.
He's argubly done as much in his career thus far as Brent Moloney did when he was traded to the Dees for pick #13. And both ar very similar players (albeit Prismall doesn't kick it long 100% of the time without looking).
He'll go for a late 1st rounder / early 2nd rounder, and if we don't get that, we'll keep him. Makes for extremely handy depth (considering he signed a 2 year deal at the end of the last season IIRC).
As posted above, Prismall is contracted. He may ask to be traded but you won't get him for a third round pick. Geelong have to agree to trade him.
If all that is offered is a third round pick GFC will keep him regardless of his wishes IMO.
And if other clubs only rate him as worth a third round pick I doubt they view him as a starting 18 player, which is what he would want to be if asking to be traded for more game time.

Ahead of who currently? That is best 18, not 22. I would like to see you name 4 players that he is ahead of currently in the strictly midfield role that he plays.
Prismall will stay if Corey goes. Why would he bail on a team that is still young and will challenge for a few years yet?
However if Corey re-signs then I reckon he may request a trade regardless of the state of his contract. As stated though, Geelong is in the box seat having the luxury of only needing to agree to a trade that they are happy with. Like the others have suggested here, a priority pick or early second round pick would probably see the trade done.

If he was given an extended run he could quite easily be ahead of a few of them.
Why would Freo want to take your salary cap problems on?
I can see player trades not involving too many low draft picks due to this years super draft and the GC on the horizon, so player > player swaps involving late 2nd round or 3rd round picks seems more likely IMO.
So how about:
Prismal > West Coast for Rosa or Schofield (plus a low third rounder if needed)
Aaron Davey > West Coast for Rosa or Staker (+3rd rounder if needed)
Kerr > Geelong for Corey straight swap
Staker > Melbourne Sylvia to Eagles - underperforming CHB/CHF for a underperforming mid.
Staker or Embely > Richmond for King straight swap.
McKinely > Essendon for Riemers straight swap (Mac was a Bombers supporter and Lloyd and Lucas will be gone in 1-2 years)
IMO from the Coast players such as Kerr, Embely, Staker, Graham, C Fletcher, Rosa and even Seaby could easily be part of a player swap / trade this year.
So how about:

McKinley is a very promising young forward imo and I rate Reimers highly as well.

Riemers aint going no where was the comment. McKinley might be a fair talent. but Riemers has a cult following at the bombers and there would be harm done to the club if they were to off load him, especially for a 22 year old.
No offence, no one should listen to someone who has any association with fremantle on what is a "good trade". Fremantle have been bent over by more teams that are even in the leauge!

On face value it would be a fair swap; however, Essendon already have Jay Neagle and Scott Gumbleton as future key forward prospects. Reimers fills a hole in the Essendon midfield that currently needs to be addressed.
Yes you do but every forward line needs variation.
Jay Neagle looks good, he's more like a bigger Lloyd FF, Gumby is the tall ruck/forward and with McKinely you have the medium size very good overhead and straight as an arrow kick on goal. More like a Mark Mercuri type.
May as well just ignore this post, he's written what he want's to happen, not what's fair/any chance of happening.

Apart from the kerr for corey trade which is just poorly thought through, why would west coast trade for a lesser/ older player? and why would geelong add more problems to their salary cap?
Prismall is a young exciting player who regularly makes appearances in what is far and away the best midfield in the competition, the two players you listed struggle to get a game in the worst, however this is the best attempt you've made at a fair trade.
From what you've written, you rate aaron davey as the equal to any other player you want to trade for, by saying that he's worth a straight swap for either rosa or staker.
Other than corey he's clearly the best/ most exciting player on that list.
He's one of melbourne's untouchables, and even if he was to get traded, your first rounder would be the minimum asking price.
Sylvia for staker... you put a bit of thought into this, however staker's 24, Sylvias 21. Melbourne have a plethora of options in the backline, all a lot younger than staker(bar warnock), and all would get a game ahead of him.
IMO sylvia is also worth a bit more than staker.
Mckinley for riemers... Riemers won't move from the bombers and they won't offer him up for trade. Mckinley is a good player, and will probably be a lot better than that, however essendon doesn't need a forward and won't trade someone like riemers.

Fair enough. I feel that going forward, Reimers would be more important to Essendon than McKinley.
Wouldn't McKinley be a required player at WCE? IMO a quality key forward is what they're crying out for. There seems to be adequate enough talent at WCE in the middle of the park.
