Just messing around with this ATM...

Goddard, Duffield, Grimes, Conca, Lake, Hargrave, M Clarke,
Ellis, Bugg
Ablett, Selwood, S Thompson, Montagna, Hayes, Magner,
Neale, Gibson
McIntosh, Giles,
Redden, Stephensen
Pavlich, Martin, Giansiracusa, Harvey, N Reiwoldt, Green, Christensen,
D Smith, Couch.

Thoughts?

not a fan. IMO too risky.
Grimes, lake, hargrave, hayes, mcintosh all coming back from injury.

greens stats dropped quite a bit last year and already under a new coach melbourne's DT stats as a team have dropped.

Nick riewoldt is also pass his best, pavlich is over 30

i think hmac will be a keeper. looking real good pre season. i love what goldy did last year but if hmac if fit he is a better player round the ground and scott will use him as number 1

he is a proven DT elite in the past. My only concern like kreuzer is returning from injury.
Really?
What Goldstein showed last year was better than anything Hmac showed before that.

I am still toying with the Scotland and Goddard. I think there is better value for money with other players. But the upside is they can be traded for round 11 bye rookies who, by then would have a track record, and free up some cash for ultra high scoring forwards or mids for the tail end of the season. But I guess the same is true or the other backmen I have in mind... Don't get me wrong I think Scotland will score well, but not that much more than other options at a lower price.

i think fisher is a better pick than goddard.
same could be said for carrazzo

In before everyone jumps on the 100 point scorers this round of NAB than when they score 60 next week they are all out of their sides again.

Just saying

You're a strange little man..

BACKS: Goddard, Shaw, Broughton, Heppell, Hargrave, Ellis, Darley

MIDFIELD: Swan, Boyd, Ablett, Bartell, Neale, Magner

RUCKS: Cox, Giles

FORWARDS: S.Johnson, Franklin, Fyfe, Martin, Sidebottom, Porplyzia, D.Smith

BANK: $15,000

Thoughts???

- Still have a few questions marks over Ellis, Goddard, Bartel, S.Johnson and Heppell.

- I really want Kerr as my 4th mid as I believe he can score at least 95+

- Willing to take a risk on Will Minson as first ruck. Could average 85 as first ruck, has job security and can take marks and kick goals up forward when rested.

I think I'm actually happy with this line up.

DEF - Goddard, Enright, Birchall, Broughton, Waters, Hargrave, Ellis (Bugg/Mohr)
MID - Ablett, Rockliff, Selwood, Wingard, McDonald, Magner (Clifton, Neale)
RUCK - Jacobs, HMac (Giles, Reddan)
FWD - Franklin, Fyfe, Pav, Martin, Sidebottom, Porpz, Saad (Smith, Couch)

$90K left in the bank and an obvious Rd 11 Ruck bye issue to consider changing.
Bench rookies will still possibly change, but I am comfortable rolling into Round 1 with this starting 22.

What do you think guys?

Brendon Goddard, Grant Birchall, Paul Duffield, Brodie Smith, Ryan Hargrave, Brandon Ellis, Sam Darley
Steven Morris, Peter Yagmoor

Dane Swan, Scott Pendlebury, Matthew Boyd, Gary Ablett jnr, Anthony Miles, James McDonald
Sam Gibson, James Magner

Dean Cox, Ben McEvoy
Jonathan Giles, Orren Stephenson

Lance Franklin, Adam Goodes, Dustin Martin, Steele Sidebottom, Leigh Adams, Devon Smith, Curtly Hampton
Aaron Hall, Sam Kerridge

Have had this exact team for about 2 weeks now so i think it looks set.

BACKS: Gone for value, plenty of risk here and will need a few upgrades, hoping to get the best mid pricers here so i can just go guns/rookies elsewhere.

Goddard- could be underpriced after his start last year, hasn't set the world on fire, but should do well especially early with saints draw.

Birchall- wanted a consistent player, either he or deledio fill that spot, decided on Birchall given he plays for a higher scoring team and Richmond have a tough start to the year.

Duffield- had him the last few years, last year was poor, but i think he will bounce back this year.

Smith- Had him in my team for a while now and his NAB games have been good in my eyes and i think he'll stay.

Hargrave- jumped into my team after his first round performance and has stayed, heard rumours his foot is held together by metal, but if he can last the first half of the season it's a success.

Of the back rookies, they all looks solid and should play, one of the Richmond boys will probably take the vest every few games which is a concern and Yaghmoor if he plays will probably be sub - might change him.

MIDFIELD: Gone the big 4, can't see anyone topping these guys for scores week in week out, paying extra might hurt me, if Montagna smashes it out these last two weeks he might come back in to consideration, probably for one of the Collingwood players. Looking to upgrade to a fallen premium and can't see these guys falling much in price.

Rookies - all have done good things this pre-season, Gibson might change, got a bit of cash, could become Clay Smith or the like...

RUCKS: 2 premiums, 2 rookies - set and forget.

Cox- i think he's still the only ruckman capable of multiple 140+ games (or around that mark), I'm going for league win mainly and i think Cox could be a good point of difference if others choose up and coming rucks.

McEvoy- Saints easy run early, plus he's definitely the only saint ruckman makes him an easy fit. Also his bye suits the structure.

FORWARDS: Could still change if a mid-pricer producers again and tossing up between Nroo and L. Adams

Franklin- Just can't ignore, some say he has tough games early, i say there is no tough game for Buddy.

Goodes- Shown he's not aged a day, will be top 3 fwds come end of year for scoring, won't be rested i don't think either - Sydney can't afford that.

Martin- We've seen what he's capable of, hopefully he doesn't drop too much with tough games early.

Sidebottom- represents value, high scoring team and should see a lot of the ball.

Adams- Has a good bye and with Norths easy fixture could see some high scoring games, should increase really. (May turn to NRoo)

Rookies - mostly set on these guys, monitor Hall.

My first go for the year, will change plenty before Round 1 im sure :p

Backs: Goddard, Deledio, Scotland, Broughton, Hargrave, B.Ellis, Smedts, Bugg, Darley

Hey guys, can I get a few opinions?

DEF: Goddard, H. Shaw, Deledio, Birchall, Hargrave, Ellis, Darley (Bugg, Morris)

MID: Pendlebury (C), Boyd (VC), Ablett, Rockliff, Coniglio, Stevens (Neale, Magner)

RUC: Sandilands, Giles (Redden, Stephenson)

FWD: Franklin, Goodes, Fyfe, Martin, Dangerfield, Collins, Pfeiffer (Cameron, Couch)

FOR: Franklin, Goodes, Zaharakis, Riewoldt, Butcher, Rohan, Motlop (Cooyou, Hall)

First time I've ever taken DT seriously (usually dropped out after or before round 1). Thoughts please? Aside from my defense completely sucking (if so, how do I fix it).

$1000 left in kitty.

What if you try Carrazo, Shaw get rid of 2 of the mid pricers and upgrade, there are several players under 200k that should start and score reasonably.

Solid team IMO.

Very strong centres.

I would be hesitant with Sandi, carrying an injury.

Not sure about Collins in the FWDs at 180K. If I were you I would downgrade him to a solid rookie and use the cash to upgrade Neale to someone like Wingard, given that Neale is injured.

DEF: Scotland, Goddard, Adcock, Deledio, Hargrave, Clarke, Bower (Guthrie, Darley)
MID: Ablett, Selwood, Thompson, Hayes, McDonald, Stevens (Magner*, Kerridge)
RUC: Cox, Maric (Giles, Redden)
FWD: Franklin, Goodes, Pavlich, Martin, Ballantyne, D Smith, Saad (Pfeiffer, Hall)

*Awaiting tomorrow's diagnosis.

Backline will have a lot fewer mid pricers by Round 1 I'm guessing, as the rebounders (like Hargrave) are made more accountable.

This is the latest incarnation of my team.....

B - Carrazzo, H Shaw, Suckling, Duffield, Hargrave, B Ellis, Darley (Bugg, S Morris)

M - Pendlebury, Boyd, Ablett, Black, Gaff, Coniglio (McDonald, Wingard)

R - Cox, Giles (Rowe, Stephensen)

F - S Johnson, Franklin, Fyfe, S Sidebottom, Porplyzia, D Smith, Saad (A Hall, Sexton)

Thoughts?

Honestly wouldn't look too hard at Blacks game yesterday, he's not a good pick.

Back: carrazzo, shaw, duffeld, waters, hargrave, clarke, ellis
emg: bugg, smedts

mid: pendles, mitchell, murphy, dal santo, j.bolton, hogan

ruck: hmac, giles
emg derickx, stephensen

fwd: buddy, chappy, pav, martin, dangerfield, b.ebert, saad
emg: weedon, hall

Okay, my latest incarnation of my team :)

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, my team is very fluid and this is probably version 412.0 lol

I won my work league last year through mostly bad luck on their part, but this year I wanna flog them (all the guys HATE when a chick beats them at DT and SC haha :p )

I had many of the same peeps everyone had last year and I'd like to mix it up enough this year to still score really well, but hopefully do a teeny bit better :)

Things I'm worried about:
All the rookies (Not until the teams are released am I going to be set, but these are the ones I like the look of so far).
My forward line (last year I had both Reiwoldts, for a while anyway, and I kind of want Jack again and give him the benefit of the doubt, but I hated how poorly they did).
Heppell, he was great last year, but for that much money I want someone how I KNOW is gonna perform.

Backs: H Scotland - B Goddard - G Broughton - D Heppell - M Clarke - B Ellis - T Mohh......SUBS: B Smedts - T Bugg

Mids: S Pendlebery (VC) - M Boyd - G Ablett (C) - N Fyfe - D Martin - S Coniglio......SUBS: J Stringer - J Magner

Rucks: D Cox - J Giles....SUBS: J Redden - T Derickx

Forwards: P Chapman - L Franklin - D Beams - P Dangerfield - J Porplyzia - D Pfeiffer - A Treloar.....SUBS: S Kerridge - T Couch

Thanks heaps for your help everyone, loving this message board!!
