if this is true then it has to be another nail in the (already nailed shut) coffin of someone in our "fitness" dept.

My personal motto is "there's always room for more nails".

I live by that shit.

Clearly 35 disposals, 8 marks, 4 tackles, 13 clearances, 4 inside 50s, 3 rebound 50s at reserves level just isn't good enough for for a league game ...

Clearly numbers approaching 35 disposals, 8 marks, 4 tackles, 13 clearances, 4 inside 50s, 3 rebound 50s at reserves level 4 games in a row just isn't good enough for for a league game ...

EFA.

Imagine the outrage if it was North or something doing this. We can never whinge about the SANFL screwing our players again, what the Magpies are doing to Banner is the worst example of it yet.

He positive is Mitch is still working his but off in the reserves and posting great numbers, I feel for him to be honest unless we are missing something his treatment is just rude!

I'm with Thunder I'll follow him elsewhere of the flick him! He was s regular for the seniors at the Maggies last year so maybe it's a fitness issue for the rest of this year ad they'll bring him back next year

Finals chances all but gone for the Magpies.

Led for most of the day and conceded the lead in the final seconds. Glenelg pipped the Blues to consolidate 5th.

Special thanks to the SANFL website for shitting itself at a crucial time.

Steven Salopek (for Port Adelaide v Eagles)
32 disposals, 10 marks, 1 tackle, 2 clearances, 6 inside 50s, 4 rebound 50s

Sal was best on ground for the Maggies in a pretty solid performance for him. He found a lot of the ball and ran and spread well. He had 32 possessions which was really positive and he was very influential for the Magpies, but we're still looking for him to improve his defensive game which is an area that he is still lacking the consistency we require.

Mitch Banner (for Port Adelaide v Eagles)
33 disposals, 10 marks, 1 tackle, 4 clearances, 3 inside 50s, 4 rebound 50s, 2 goals

Mitchy really came into the game in the second half. He had 8 touches to half time and so to finish with 33 disposals highlights how much impact he had on the final two terms. He’s very strong at finding the footy and we got to see a bit more of his inside stuff - tackling and pressure on the opposition - and he kicked a couple of goals as well.
