rioli was so overated
He was the footy player I’ve ever seen.
I like tresize but see him as more of a lockdown player then creative type. Not saying he can’t break the lines but just don’t see him with the creative side like Rioli
I think banks has the run and carry but would love to see him on a wing.
I'm not sure whether Bauer has the tank, but he's a good kick and an excellent mark, has a bit of zip.
Bit like the small forwards at end of our dynasty.
Bauer can be our skinny Wayne Carey, he'll run rings around a defender and mark it. And he's not Shai Bolton levels of silly when taking set shots.
Given our plethora of KPF's, I was just wondering whether he had the tank to slot into a position on the wing, he looks to have all the other tools to make him an option
Think Short just needs a kick up the ass to hopefully return him to the player that won a B&F in a premiership year off of a half back flank.
Hard to argue with that.
I think he's a natural forward. Not quite big enough for key position, but perfect as the third tall. I wouldn't play him anywhere else. He already has more forward craft than Balta.
He just seemed to have that touch of class that stands out. Did 3-4 things a game late in the season that made you think yeah he’s got it. I also noticed that he rarely ever got out marked, even out of position he managed to bring the ball to ground

What are you talking about. Rioli replaced Houli. Shorts form suffered because he plays unaccountable footy. Oppos were happy for him to get a handball around the back or in the pocket because he dump kick it. Rarely does he hit targets. Shorts form had nothing to do with Rioli.
Marks the ball at it's highest point too. If he's fit he must play Rd 1.
Rioli was moved before Houli retired mate. Short got moved to mid/half forward when Rioli became perma half back
And then got moved back there after doing nothing as a mid.
