News Corp/Rupert Murdoch,you have to be kidding Stan,not to say there may not be a cozy little arrangement in there with the local Addy editor or who ever calls the shots.But to suggest the Geelong Footy Club could ride roughshod over News Corp is a stretch.

So how come the details of Bundy's departure weren't reported? Why was it never reported at the time that Motlop returned to training unfit and out of shape? Why was it never reported back in 2006 that Bomber was shagging Kingsley's missus?

I'll tell you why... Because the club told them not to and they decided to abide by their decision.

According to today's news wrap, Jed Bews was playing forward in match simulation today, and Kolo was impenetrable across half back. Hope Kolo continues that form in the season proper.

Kolo definitely will if he plays in his best position as 3rd defender instead of playing on smalls

Just on that, I sat next to said couple at a final against the Bulldogs in 09... I wandered up to kent with my phone and politely asked for a snap... he agreed that it was a good idea until I handed him the phone and put my arm around his missus.

He saw the funny side and we ended up getting that snap. He's bigger in person than what he appeared out on the field and his missus was smokin' hot.

Good to see "slow" Harry Taylor matching it in sprints with Motlop today.

Discussing this with BC in the Forward Line thread.

Care to expand on this observation......was there any intensity to the sprints, distance, repetitions etc?

Size is irrelevant in my opinion. Caleb Daniel has proven as much as has Brent Harvey.

No offence but if a Murdoch controlled newspaper thought they could get a salacious story about a sportsman that wouldn't make them look appallingly inconsiderate they would print it without a moments hesitation!! As mentioned by someone else and from someone who worked in the media I think you are seriously overblowing the clout of an AFL club!

I would not think so. In terms of height Lang is a tad taller than Joel Selwood but is also lighter.
Obviously Joel has had more time to build a body, but Lang is no twiggy at 81 kgs and 183 cms.

I recall the draft talk here a few years ago when Caleb Daniel was mentioned and someone suggested that he was too small.
I also recall someone else commenting "if he is good enough then he is tall enough".
