Looking forward to what we got with Chesser and the future with OAllen and Darling as the main forwards.

XON got some pipes on him now.

Rigs are genuinely looking really good across the board. This is a big year for XON - for midfield spots you'd think he'd be starting the year with more selection advantage than new draftees/emerging talent like Hough/Chesser but if he doesn't press that advantage and make his spot hard to take off him can see him falling out of favour and struggling to catch up.

Hough still has the stature of Monty Burns

Looking at those pictures we look so young and skinny.

Gone from overweight to underweight in 12 months.

Guess no Gov, Nic pics yet jk

I hope some of the new kids bring some genuine excitement around the place

Great to see Andrew McDougall back at the club.

Packed in the Player Manager game to have another run at it obviously.

Doubling down on this, guess it's true then.
It was The West running with them being contracted so I guess they’re just running with if they say it often enough people will believe it’s true

I’m not buying it, or their rubbish paper
Looking through the photos these players i couldn't see:

Yeo, Gaff, Nic Nat, Barrass, Gov, Hurn, Ryan, Rotham, Waterman, SPS, Ledwards & Foley.

Ryan, Gaff, Yeo, Naitanui, SPS, McGovern, Hurn, Rotham and Barrass weren’t there that I saw. I didn’t pick up LEdwards but others have said he was there. I forgot to look for him

Waterman and Ledwards were there.

Waterman did his own thing though and wasn’t participating in the drills that I saw. Personally didn’t see Edwards but as above he was one I forgot to try and spot

Really hoping there was a focus on running work, even in this heat.

Ran for about half an hour before the balls came out

Foley was there. There's a photo of him running behind XON.

Foley is always easy to miss but he was there. Most anonymous player on our list

Culley looking in ripping nick.

He looked leaner (and harder) than I remembered from last season. Was in good shape.

The dreads seemed shorter too which might explain why he was looking leaner

Other notes
• Bazzo worked off to the side with a trainer and didn’t do any ball drills. Looks like he’s added a bit more muscle to his frame albeit he still needs more time in the gym which is normal for a guy his age
• Shuey showed no signs of any calf issue with the way he was moving
• Allen, Chesser, Sheed and Cole did the full session including ball movement drills - at least until I left just after 10.00am. They were all moving well or in Sheeds case as well as he ever actually looks
• Chesser is the opposite of pale as buggery
• Development coaches Nicoski, Horsley and the new guy Morrison were there. Couldn’t spot Jacob Brennan though - not saying he wasn’t there just I wasn’t able to pick him out
• Overall the squad that was there looked in good shape, no fatties. The bigger lads (Both Williams and HEdwards) were clearly struggling to keep up on the run. Jamison didn’t do laps like the others
• Kicking drills weren’t super crisp as you might imagine for the first session of a new season but coaches were keen to push and encourage high standards
• Simpson and Knights spent most of the session talking to each other without running any of the drills

Xon looks in great shape, hopefully its a big year for him

Seem to recall him getting compared to shuey by our media in his first few years at the club.

Hopefully he takes that next step this year

If he is anything like Shuey unfortunately his next step might result in some sort of soft tissue injury
