Yeah if there's nothing to hide the umps communications should be audible to the viewers/fans.gonna come out sooner rather than later
Let's face it, our future (as you have pointed out) hinges on getting a really strong outcome from that 5 top 30ish picks from the 2021 draft.Time and time again so many posters around here are paranoid like the secret World order is against Punt Rd. So let's assume the articles author either conspired to eliminate gun Tiger players like Balta and Bolton to make us look 18th or they just picked a random age group to base article on.
There's no way to sugar coat it our youth depth doesn't look that great atm as per what I wrote.
Picks 2023
40 Kane McAuliffe
43 Liam Fawcett
No one's expecting much from either. Thin draft and Fawcett was touted pick 60+ and SA were putrid this year.
Picks 2022
49 Kaleb Smith
55 Steely Green
Rookie: Campbell. (plenty around here stroking off over a couple of quarters against North's duds in a practice match)
Doubt any other team is conspiring to steal any of these.
2021
The 5 great white hopes we need 2 guns and 2 solid players out of at least.
2020
40 Samson Ryan
51 Maurice Rioli
MRJ is up against it and odds on to be delisted eoy. If Ryan can't mark journeyman Naismith will leapfrog him.
2019
21 Thomson Dow
43 Noah Cumberland
44 Will Martyn 18yr
46 Hugo Ralphsmith
Martyn gone. Will Cumberland make it? Ralphsmith looking unlikely. Dow looking like a b or c grade player at best. Potentially another 1st round bust.
That's 5 years worth of drafts there and pickings are very thin. The 2021 group need to become our next A graders because honestly there's potentially very little there otherwise.
Majority of the players listed above if we delist would be doubtful to land another AFL home. If Dows a bust and the 2021 cohort don't start at least showing massive potential I think we need another recruiter because we can't keep blowing first round picks. I'm sick of hearing we identified something we like that never comes to fruition.A baboon with $2 for Cal Tuomeys formguide should do the job

If they all bust then we need a hell of a lot of work building the list.

This is good for us. All of these clubs hold mid-late 1st rounders next year and will be looking to trade them out.

edit: there is also a 2nd Camporeale who is fairly highly rated too so Blues will be busy.
So what's stopping the umps coach passing on instructions from Sportsbet? The ear peices are 100% so the umps can talk to each other on the ground.
The umpires coach from each game also has access to the frequency to listen to the convo's (also has the ability to talk to the field umpires if needed, but I don't know if they do that "in play".
Have seen this first hand myself in a role I had with AFLW
hahahaha nothing! So what's stopping the umps coach passing on instructions from Sportsbet?

Yeah ideally, but they'll probably be giving up their 1st pick for Petty anyway. Their 2nd round pick is tied to Dees so that will likely be late too. They'll need to get creative.Lions and Blues will finish top 6 you'd think but Crows could easily sit middle of the row and they'd my first phone call.
* Lions and Blues anyway, wingey dogs
Mon is from keilor ParkRyan's busses? Used to have a depot in Tilba St, near a servo.
Ricky McLean's family used to be round the corner.
EDFL teams in Aber & Doutta Stars. Knew Balta was from there. Not Mon. The best thing out of Abers was Clinton Casey.!!!! Cops had to attend all Broadmedows games in a divvy van. It generally wasn't bad, although Doutta Stars had a guy called Peter Claire who loved a fight. One all in vs Glenroy after the game.
Doutta's song was shyte but their jumper used to have the one star in he middle. Bit like Ivan in the Harder they Come.

remember the shemans game
anti Richmond campaigners on the main board were even saying we got reamed hard
im sure we still hold the record for most 50mtr penalties conceded in a single game in the 2022 GF opener v scum ? or was it 2021 ?There were a few games this year that I saw the mainboard start to think that we are a not as unhinged about the umpires as they thought.
There was another game that people thought we were ****ed.
Yes but our situation is pretty dire if they don't come on. There's 17 other clubs and while we might not be the worst, we're far from the best position moving forward especially if those 5 bust. That was a significant draft for us given the Hopper and Taranto trades. We will be lucky to get 3 out of that 5, law of averages. Pinning our hopes on 1 draft is foolish. It takes a number of drafts and some gutsy trading.
When Dimma took over in 2010, it was during his 4th season that we made a final, that was off the back of bottoming out and already grabbing half a dozen top end draft picks. This current list has a long way to go and it's not going to be a quick fix, i guess that's what happens when you go through a dynasty and your best players begin to retire.
I dont think the situation is as bad as its made out. If all those 2nd and 3rd rounders next year end up getting us an extra 1st then that cancels the Hopper trade as it means we have recouped our lost 1st round pick. I see the Taranto trade no different to the Prestia trade we made in 2016.Yes but our situation is pretty dire if they don't come on. In other wordsapparently they form a symbiotic relationship with the umpire s brains, manifesting a true virtual network that runs the arc technological masterpiece
He's the 16 y/o kid that played in the VFL grand final. Must be pretty decent.Gold Coast have an Academy kid thats looking like a 1st rounder in Leo Lombard
hope he climbs up the rankings and gets to become a top 5 pick
