MRJ is up against it and odds on to be delisted eoy. If Ryan can't mark journeyman Naismith will leapfrog him.

Martyn gone. Will Cumberland make it? Ralphsmith looking unlikely. Dow looking like a b or c grade player at best. Potentially another 1st round bust.

That's 5 years worth of drafts there and pickings are very thin. The 2021 group need to become our next A graders because honestly there's potentially very little there otherwise.

Majority of the players listed above if we delist would be doubtful to land another AFL home. If Dows a bust and the 2021 cohort don't start at least showing massive potential I think we need another recruiter because we can't keep blowing first round picks. We will be lucky to get 3 out of that 5, law of averages. Pinning our hopes on 1 draft is foolish. It takes a number of drafts and some gutsy trading.

When Dimma took over in 2010, it was during his 4th season that we made a final, that was off the back of bottoming out and already grabbing half a dozen top end draft picks. This current list has a long way to go and it's not going to be a quick fix, i guess that's what happens when you go through a dynasty and your best players begin to retire.

The ear peices are 100% so the umps can talk to each other on the ground.

The umpires coach from each game also has access to the frequency to listen to the convo's (also has the ability to talk to the field umpires if needed, but I don't know if they do that "in play".

There were a few games this year that I saw the mainboard start to think that we are a not as unhinged about the umpires as they thought.

There was another game that people thought we were ****ed.

Yes but our situation is pretty dire if they don't come on. There's 17 other clubs and while we might not be the worst, we're far from the best position moving forward especially if those 5 bust. That was a significant draft for us given the Hopper and Taranto trades.

I dont think the situation is as bad as its made out. If all those 2nd and 3rd rounders next year end up getting us an extra 1st then that cancels the Hopper trade as it means we have recouped our lost 1st round pick. I see the Taranto trade no different to the Prestia trade we made in 2016.

He's the 16 y/o kid that played in the VFL grand final. Must be pretty decent.
