I absolutely hate knowing results before I watch.
NHL.tv had an issue where games often started live instead of at the start, even with, "Start from beginning" checked. I put on a game once and saw the final result -- a 7-1 loss for my team.

Being a stubborn glutton for punishment, I decided I was going to watch the game anyway.

We scored in the first couple minutes, leaving me with the knowledge I had absolutely nothing to look forward to for the next couple of hours. :(

Popped into training this morning.

Not a hard training sesh at all... Really just a show for the public.

Menegola not sited (we don't expect him to play anyway).
Kolo did pretty much nothing but didn't appear to have any strapping on his knee (still seems 50/50 for mine).
Cameron had a few shots at goal but was looking happy enough.
Hawkins similar to Cameron, just taking it easy.
Parf had his hand strapped but handballed/reached to tackle with it a bunch of times so no issues for him.
Stanley trained...as did Ceglar.

They were broken up into 3 groups.
Ceglar grouped with Blitz, Danger, and Selwood.
Does that mean something? Probably not... But I noticed it.

Stewart on Cameron? We’ve tried that before to disastrous effects. Perhaps Stewart’s worst game for the club. Bews needs to tighten up for a small forward role. Does O’Connor get a gig because he blanketed Neale once before? O’Connor has been our worst player for the year. The MC have some big calls to make!
O’Connor tagged Neale in round 2 and did a pretty good job.
I think he does it again.

It was all over when the Ottens run-down tackle happened. In all seriousness, I was surprised, when I checked just now, to discover it happened in the first quarter, because I've long thought of it as the moment encapsulating the game and making it clear it was the Cats' day.

I know a Port player, free-and-clear, was also run-down just in front of goal, so maybe I've conflated the two in my mind.
We missed the shot after the Ottens run down and I was remember being unsure if we had it or we'd slog it out like the PF. The following play from the kick in, King Smother, Corey fight off 2 gets it off to Woj beats a tackle and undergrounds to Ablett; sidesteps a tackle then to Kelly then Selwood fakes an inboard handball to create space and off to Bartel who snaps from 40m on the left boot. We were on and Port were a step behind.

We may even roll Stewart onto a Hipwood or McStay... and Zuth plays the intercept type role which he has shown a taste for before..

On McCluggage.... Max will get that wing I would assume, will go with him for the hard stuff and try hurt him the other way.. Clug is an absolute weapon though so crucial match up.
If we break even in the middle at work I expect us to win well regardless.
Am I the only one who thinks of "McLovin" from the movie superbad whenever the name McCluggage is mentioned?

Anyone else think the whole “O’Conner tagged Neale” is a massive overreaction? From memory he played one good half against him. And hasn’t beaten him since or before
It absolutely is, very similar to the myth that Taylor Hunt tagged Marc Murphy and beat him once...

The whole concept of he played on him and did a good job, or he played on him and did a bad job is over-rated for mine.

Any of you getting the train from WP in on Friday? I live in Torquay now so by virtue Geelong have to get some support, I've bought tickets to the Prelim and want to know how bad public transport usually gets from Geelong to the G during finals footy. Cheers and good luck!

Neale must be tagged and not by Blicavs but rather a similar sized player eg Parfitt. The Dees changed their tag on Neale at the main break and paid the price.

Hipwood will worry our defenders for height alone, bar for DEK of course. Our rucks(s) will need to run hard both ways.

A 30 + game from Stewart would help, but it's a lot to ask in a final on a wet night.

Hawkins needs to kick some goals in a final; as does Mieirs. We can't expect Cameron and Stengle to do the job alone. A repeat effort from Rohan would nearly ensure victory.
If you mean 30+ disposals then I hope not. That would mean the back line is repeatedly dealing with inside 50s and our forwards are getting cold watching the game.

Not out yet, obviously there'll be some specials but haven't been released as yet.

So now Jenkins can’t do his radio show due to illness.

Don’t bloody tell me…..
he was probably struggling to get a game anyway mate, don't stress haha

When Stewart has big numbers games he’s intercepting around the middle of the ground. You would find that he probably has a lot of inside 50s if he’s got a lot of possessions.

We not blesed with small defenders that can lockdown.
