Just can't watch an all Sydney final next week. Won't be able to stomach the media drooling over it, images of Sydney celebrities with no interest in the game in the crowd spotted by Bruce, stupid comments from the Sydney Premier and NSW politicians about them being the sporting capital now...........we have to win this tomorrow!

Going into this game is a complete and utter bonus for me. I'd have been content with a fighting loss to the Hawks but the boys have already achieved far more than I ever imagined for this year. So losing today won't leave me in despair and it won't sour one of the best seasons I've ever experienced as a Bulldogs supporter. Just playing today is a bonus...but while it's a bonus, and unexpected we might as well ****ing win.

You want omens ? I'll know how we are going to go around 5ish. Why ?
My local team, (where I played, coached and even became President) is playing in their first Div 1 GF today. They have for eons been a competitive Div 1 team, but never getting to the big dance. The few occasions they have been demoted they win the Div 2 premiership and re-emerge. Our history is eerily similar to the Bulldogs, with the club just not believing they belong or are good enough to compete with the bigger clubs of our comp (the disparity is huge) but we are now seeing the results of a few years developing young local talent who believe (yes, we can't afford high priced recruits) and are about to create history. If we win I reckon it's a monty for the Dogs to follow suit and create the best w/e of footy in my almost 60 years!! The local magoos are also in the GF, coupled with the Sunday VFL GF, makes a monstrous footy w/e. Despite that, if the Dogs win, next w/e will be even bigger. Go Dogs!!
