Still in pain over last weeks loss........ Hate to say it but credit to OS. Panther season may be heading similar way as 2011....Round 16 monster game but a loss (v Blues, 18 goals each but lost by 3 points).
Current form suggests OS are not there to make up numbers, OX and De La vunerable......interesting times ahead.
As previously mentioned "where" games played more a factor than who is playing who. Latest form says OX don't handle mud very well. Interesting times but at this point in time Collegians look the team to beat.
Obviously any of the final four can win it. Who ever has their best team in and is hot on the given day will take the "choccies".
Having said that, the final ladder placings dont tell lies. Its a strong indicater as to how they have performed,
consistently or otherwise throughout the year. It goes without saying that the top two have done it a little better than the rest of the field. For me then, I think its between Xavs and Coll. So lets all just get down on our knees and prey to the weather Gods to give us fair go for our final series, amen.

My take is OS v Uni a 50/50 games. They will be playing in atrocious conditions that could throw up just about anything. Pig Sty
I agree, surely they can locate another ground. Even if they dont play at 2.00. The Uni ground is an absolute disgrace. Its a blight on the University, just shows how much they care...........

Agree re Uni.......they should relocate the game. How bad will it be have two Uni sides in Premier. Shit facilities, worst ground to get to

I was just thinking the same thing. Travelling there twice in one year is going to be hell.

No games fixtured at the Camberwell Sports Ground today.
Understand Old Scotch made an offer to Uni Blues to transfer the game.
Further understand that Uni Blues rejected the offer.

DE LA (last chance on worst surface in australia)

Give me spell. Have you not seen the pictures of Toorak Park and the Uni main? Our ground looks like the MCG by comparison. Today will be the first time in living memory that a club will be happy to be playing at De La as it has a better surface then their own.

Can we read much into the de la xav game from last weekend? Collegians still looking hot favourites and scotch still looking decent

Coll v Xav
De la v Os

RCB, Cant quite follow. You say Coll are "hot" favourites but you select Xavs for the flag. Am I reading that right?

As the home and away fixture comes to a close, its been an exciting year in Premier Division, with a mouth watering finals series in the upcoming few weeks. Brief wrap up from how I see it..

COLLEGIANS- Definately the most impressive side across the board this year, asserted there dominance in must win games. taft, bull, lee, jorgenson all stood up, have to be favourites to go back to back. My tip for the flag.

OX- Always a powerhouse, done enough throughout the year to suggest they may go all the way. Ball, Howard, Biddlecombe and Handely the keys for the finals campaign, should play off in the decider.

DE LA SALLE- At times, and at full strength look nearly unstoppable, great mix of young and experienced players, and great depth, however consistency seems to be the issue. Hard to see them winning it this year.

OLD SCOTCH- Suprise packet of 2012, have had an outstanding year, Jameison is by far and away one the best young talents in the competition, ball magnet. If Neaves can give the onballers first use in the upcoming weeks, they may surprise Dela.

OLD CAREY- Would have expected to play finals football at the beggining of the year, Rowe, Howat, Smithwick, Yze Brothers, Rimington, Mc Queen Miscamble.. The list goes on A side oozing with class..Lost games throughout the year they probably shouldnt have. Their reserves side also only winning three games may suggest that depth may be an issue?

ST BEDES/MENTONE- Found their rythm through the back end of the season, and took some scalps, another year in Premier Division for the tigers, will claw their way back up the ladder and push for finals next year, Under 19 team looks to be flooded with talent.

ST BERNARDS- Struggled at times throughout the year, but a pass mark definately for the Snowdogs in their first year back in the top flight, played a very young team all year, and as always were riddled with injuries, managed to take some scalps, very promising signs for Bernies. Van Meel, Singleton, Caven and Bevanda, all had very consistant seasons.

UNI BLUES- Big dissapointment this year, touted early on as a contender and failed to fire a shot. something definately went wrong down at the varsity. Fergus the right man to be at the helm? Either way, hung on to remain in Premier next season.

OLD TRINITY- Rambo could not save them, despite kicking goals purely for enjoyment at times throughout the year, Iezzi not up to his best id have thought, tend to rely on too few too much. A trip back down to Premier B, not for long though i dont think.

CAULFIELD- Feel for the grammarians, with one last chance this weekend to chalk up a Premier Division win, i think they are alot better than the 0-17 record suggests, lost quite a few games by minimal margins to quality teams. Riddled with injuries, playing kids, they found their first year in Premier a hard ask, will be a contender in B grade next year with a full team on the park.

Good Luck to all teams in the finals!
