Cardio still doing the rounds. Confines himself to the AFL and his beloved Saints these days. Still as acerbic as ever though.

I'll ask a silly question. Who is the best poster in the history of bigfooty in your opinion?
Canada he's an expert on all grades, it's like he had a VAFA gig at some stage

Hopefully Caustic Cardio will make a guest appearance one day.
I'm humbled by your nomination Bedders, but wasn't heading there.
Not one to pump up my own tyres...

As long as there is no personal abuse between "posters" and threats being thrown to and fro. And there is any news or gossip pertaining to A grade, then anything is fair game. The banter about the now ex Skobs coach was perfectly legit and above board. No one was bagging him, just discussing the events that lead up to his departure.....hey thats footy, hey thats life.
We all agree with robust debate adding to the forum. An example was the to-n-fro between Caulfield and Ormond in relation to the incident on Saturday. No one became abusive.

Maybe you weren’t around when the board was quite different. One multi aliased fellow was posting offensive ad hominem rants regularly. At least three of us even received abusive and threatening PM's, that’s how bad it was. As a consequence we lost many good posters. Even lost the most erudite poster in Scribe who was forced to close his account after being subjected to a reprehensible act.

We have a terrific moderator at present who I’m sure won’t allow the board to deteriorate to the level it was in the bad old days.

'Scribe'

Great call. I can disclose he made top 5.
I'm hoping Sir Scribulous is enjoying the revival of the hedge burners in the last few weeks. They looked to be doing a Kangaroos but seem to have steadied the ship.
A couple of key ins and fit ins and suddenly they are a real chance.
You can throw a blanket over the top 5 right now. All capable of beating each other and of course losing as well. Will be a ripping final few months.
Cheers Humbled Canada..

So Cardio Carl and BS are both saints supporters....

There was this fella who was once on the VAFA payroll. Had some communications role I think. He use to refer to the great man a ‘scribulous’. Can’t readily bring his name to mind. As you’ve appropriated the appellation you may know the name of the person to whom I’m referring.

I don’t think the great man will be seeing the silverware at Daley Oval any time soon. Sorry Scribe! Xavs looked every bit the team to beat on Saturday.

Not sure re Scribulous. Guessing you are on the Fitz thing still.
That's an honour. I considered myself a little bit of a political writer and scholar during my VCE 'history'
classes. A blossoming writer cut short through lack of..effort I guess. I'm happy to wear this hat if it makes you feel better. I'm all for happiness aboard here. Apart from Chadstone in D4. They need to lift and just get better. No time for them...

Anyway, while y'all are discussing all that, back to the teams, uni blacks showing some signs of weakness after their loss to OM's this weekend. Makes for a huge last few rounds..who is everyone ripping to make the 4, 6 points separating 1 to 6.

Blacks had a few missing I believe.

Enormous credit must go to OMs who no one here rated at the start of the year.

Xavs a class above as we speak.

OX are in a patch of form at the moment, but reckon "class above" is a bit much. Against the 5 other contenders left for the 4, OX are 3-4 for the year with 3 to play. Would be interested to see how others compare.

Is going to be super dooper close.
Was looking at the fixture the other day and both Trinity and De La get to play 4 of there 5 remaining games against..Carey, SKOB, Melb and Bernies.
Whilst some of the other contenders have much tougher draws.
Might need 11.5/12 wins to sneak into 4th.
Very exciting.

Depends where the GF is played Jase....

Tipping was horrendous last week.....

Trinity to reestablish themselves in the top 4 and likely stay there now.
De la suddenly on the ropes, Blues at home.
Collegians to do the pitters out there
Skob to start a run like the pies by snuffing out the M's
Xavs to keep the run going at home.

Big Winners today...Scribe and Brian.
Trinity have their mojo back. Sure they only beat Carey, but Carey have been Ok lately. Scribe is very excited. But trying to keep a lid on things.
Now to Briza...look out SKOB are a game out of the 4. Mr 22 in a row Harf is on a roll. As De La and Blacks stumble, the team with the greatest list of imports since Carlton brought in Kernahan, Bradley and Motley is flying home.
Brian was seen after the game discussing possibly ordering 2016 back to back premiership caps. Harf shut it down pretty quickly.
Xavs looking ominous. Blues still on top.
Maplebet says:
Xavs: $2.80
Blues: $3.40
Trinity: $4.50
De La: $7.00
SKOB: $10.00
Blacks: $15.00
OM's: $100.00

Relegation:
Bernies $1.07
Collegians $8.00
