What sort of margin are we talking here Canada?

Plenty JJ. I'm guessing 10-12 goals. But wasn't really taking close note of scores. More about getting 60 players to have a good hit out over two games for 2 clubs. Real stuff just around the corner.

I've heard the same 'sceptic tank' also heard that Lachlan Nankervis goes alright. Athletic, agile, strong in the air and on the ground. Draws comparisons to that of Jake Stringer. Definitely one to look out for this year in Premier Division. The mans a real dark horse
If you said the same thing to me last year I would've agreed. Been down to a few skob training sessions this year and he isn't looking good. Apparently he lost to there ruckman Dylan jones in a 100m sprint lol

Heard that too sceptic. Bit unfortunate for the big fella but should come back strongly... I heard he's still in contention for a spot in the Under 23 representative side if I've heard correctly, so that may be of some incentive to the young superstar.

Anyone see the De La / Coll game on weekend??

Was not there but advised it was about a 4 goal margin to De La in seniors and reserves. Colls won easily in the unders against De La's 2nd U19 team and the De La Prem U19s beat an EFL club by 20 plus goals.

I wonder what the strength of each side was like. James Jorgenson's wedding on Saturday would have pulled a few from the Collegians line-up I'm sure.

Was not there so can’t give a first-hand account but you would expect that 3 weeks out from round 1 there would have been plenty missing. Jorgenson’s wedding would obviously impact on the Lions but would have no idea how many attended who might otherwise have played.

Matters little but I am told that De La kicked a heap of points which perhaps prevented a bigger margin. The games on 2 April will probably be a better gauge and something of a dress rehearsal for Rd 1.

I heard Coll by a goal.... Interested in someone who may have been there to view it..Stand corrected if need be.

Likewise was not there but club communications tend to support JJ’s version as scores reported as DLS 10.13 to Collegians 8.7. From all reports an excellent ground but very open and wind played havoc. Can't comment on respective playing personnel.

thanks for that...........

At some stage during the year, my son is heading overseas for a couple of weeks and won't be playing, I really want to take in a game from the amateurs. I've only ever been to a Div 4 game, but I'd like to watch one at the very highest level. I don't know dates yet, but when I do I'll post them and hopefully someone can point me to the game of the round that weekend.

Somewhere north-west would be good, but not essential.

Does this mean he's a potential ammo on his return?;)

The Blues facilities are fantastic. Good spot to see a game.

I presume you are referring to being inside. If not, you obviously havent been there when it rains on the terraces under the "new" stand out front........It is absolutely hopeless. No protection what so ever, either from wind or rain...

Parking is an issue too.

It's not the only ground with top facilities and little to no undercover viewing though.

The most annoying thing is that it is brand new. Designed (the Terrace stand) by someone who has obviously never stood a boundary line....

Similar where Haileybury plays. Relatively new but little in the way of undercover viewing. ''King' has very little undercover areas, yet is a magnificent facility. Seems to be the way of things.

Is that how it works? :)

A bloke I know said to me once if my boy ever really wanted to be tested, then he should have a year playing in the VAFA. He didn't but maybe one day.
