Perhaps St Paul's should wander down the road and wave a few dollars under the noses of some GE seniors. Assuming that GE hasn't got them on the payroll already of course.

I watched them once this year, albeit on a windy day, but from what I saw, the top four in A would beat them by 10 goals plus on a bad day.
Having said that, the A Grade premiers in three of the last four years(SKOB) barely get out of second gear most weeks, so maybe I’m understating it. Maybe they would lose by 20 goals.
We also don’t pinch players from other Ammo clubs……….
What does a player in C Grade going to a B Grade club have anything to do with SKOB winning the last 3 flags in 4 years or is it 6 as we didn’t have results in 2020 or 2021 did we ?
Have got on good record that Glen Eira bribed students at Mckinnon to poach them from other clubs. Some pretty grimey tactics used too, gifting them alcohol for example.
Someone may know more than me but pretty sure Glen Eira got sanctioned for it in the end.
And now offering bar work to get paid !
What is the issue of offering them work, VAFA clubs have been offering people this type of “you can’t get paid in the amateurs “ deal for years. You can’t tell me everyone plays for the love of the jumper or the club.
What’s that? An amateur club finding employment for a potential recruit? Outrageous. Surely no other VAFA stoops to such levels.
St Pauls take their name (or part thereof) from a Catholic primary school in Bentleigh. If they are so offended by kids from McKinnon Sec going to another club then should perhaps drop the ‘St Pauls’ reference and change their name to just McKinnon. Can’t have it both ways. Ormond are a good club but they have no greater claims over McKinnon Sec kids than GE or anyone else. A quick look at Google maps indicates that Packer Park is closer than EE Gunn so I just don’t get all the antagonism, which enviably has now resulted in pot shots towards the GE coach. While I don’t consider myself all that well connect to HQ, I have been around the VAFA for a looooong time and generally pick up my fair share of news and gossip. Have heard no such reports of GE being knocked off for breaching the rules so can only suggest the comment above is unsubstantiated.

I haven't knocked the coach , he's okay . The thing is the way they go after juniors from St Pauls and Ormond with the pressure at the school by some and fair enough for both clubs to get the shits when some kids have come from even Auskick . You are correct St Pauls should change their name to McKinnon that's where they are.
No one can stop people from leaving clubs , it's just how the combine goes about it .
Unfortunate GE have to do what they can to get under 19s. Fact is clubs like Ormond and SPauls vetoed GE when they wanted to enter juniors into the southern league comp, thus leaving their development of juniors in limbo.

Thanks, Jimmy, but you entirely miss the point. It's one thing to recruit senior players who have the maturity to consider their options. Quite different to pressure impressionable kids and do so at the cost of other clubs, particularly other Amateur clubs.
Ormond senior club for the 100th f ing time had No issue with the combine having juniors . Good authority that u have FA to do with the club !
