He has to sign the sheet along with the team manager but hey do the VAFA umpires keep the sheets these days? No.
The coach knows exactly how many points players are. You couldn't get through Thursday night selection committee without discussing player points at some point if you're close enough to the cap

Having been involved at Juniors there can say again the Senior Coach has a big juniors base to draw from but wants to win a B Grade flag at all costs and as rival clubs know this is his creation as he imports players in from wherever he can - VFL, ex -Dragons, the President and playing group don’t have involvement here

Went past the Dairy Bell yesterday. I have never seen a Centre Circle marked in the middle of the ground at this time of year.
Are all grounds in good condition except Melb Uni.

They thought footy was on last weekend, the line markings have been there for over a week now.
Also they roll the middle where they can, in saying that it doesn't take much for it to become a gluepot.
Not all grounds are in good condition though, city of Boroondara has had all sorts of issues this year with grounds.

I drove past there today and was stopped at the lights on Waverley Road and was of the same view from what I could see of the wing area. All this wind has led to the grounds being very dry and fast for mid July.
From what was mentioned on the VAFA podcast, the centre cricket wicket area at Elsternwick last year was also rock hard!

Hawthorn Ammo's ground in Boroondara is now rock hard.
Had huge problems a month ago. The club worked really hard to buy extra covers to cover most of the ground - probably did more than most other clubs would have done. Had a core group of guys that would come down and put the covers on and off as required - even rolling the heavy spots. Thinking about it, they did more work than the council to keep the ground playable.
Its amazing at what a couple of weeks of no rain and wind can do. But, the council is useless.

That's brilliant and fantastic to hear players stepping up to help the whole club.
But the club shouldn't have to be responsible for such upkeep of the oval.
If I recall correctly, round 1 was almost in doubt as the council hadn't properly prepared the centre correctly after laying turf.

Correct about Round 1, the council had to return and remove the laid grass and fill in with soil.
Idiots...
Councils and or clubs are now getting smarter & rolling the centre wicket area & covering it during the week. Who would have thought it would take this long
