i am trying to work out what is funnier..Jascave's comment or Octo's response. Lmfao!

Gee, I reckon you might be in trouble as a footballer if you can't break into the Rovers side!

The current criteria for getting a game is having a pulse!

Hi All,

With the season now at the halfway mark, I was hoping to get some input on here about who have been the standout players in the comp so far and how a combined Premier C team would look at this stage. It would be great to get some thoughts from the posters on here, about which players (both from your own team and your opponents) deserve consideration. A position for the players you are nominating would also be helpful.

Feel free to respond either via this thread, or by PM.

Cheers,

Simon

Leigh Fletcher has been outstanding in the middle for Hampton Rovers copping a tag most weeks. Ed Turner (mid/fwd) has been very handy as well with 10 goals in 3 of the last 4 games.

From the Roys, I would have to say:
Josh Vansstitart - onball
Luke Ablett - Forward
Jess Cameron-Wooton - Ruck
Sam Baker - onball
Rory Angoellia - half foward/onball
Max Ellis - Tall back

Hi Guys, So im boots/big booth (triple m) from Chadstone(div 4). Just wondering if possible you guys could all jump onto the wild turkey pageon Facebook http://www.facebook.com/wildturkeyau?sk=app_305901486159865 The goal for the club is to have the most Registered fans of the club. If we manage to be top of the ladder at the end of the season we win $10,000 cash! The club has been down and out for far to long. If you can help out by registering that would go a hell of a long way. Thanks for the support in advance!

not really..it was really such a lame attempt at humour and just simply not funny, I had to check with someone else that I wasn't missing some very clever angle.

Now I know I wasn't missing any angle.

Sorry for wasting so much of your invaluable time Ron...if I could give it back to you I would.

The question on all our lips is 'would Brahn find that he'd have to agree with you on this one'?

Any aging player from the Rovers who can find something to chuckle about after the year you're having gets the thumbs-up from me P20.:D

Thanks AM...some people are old and grumpy, and some of us are just old ;)

Great win by the Nodders on the weekend. Kept the game nice and tight and did not allow Marcellin to run. Wasn't pretty to watch but you take a win over the top side any way you can get it. Very interesting run to the finals with 4th spot now up for grabs for about 5 teams.
Could Parkdale drop out as well or are they secure?

Great effort, g_n. That's a huge win, but not surprised. Parky are a bit of a surprise based on what we saw of them, but you'd have to think they're a sure thing for September action with 2 and a half wins more than 5th place. Put a line through 6th down. 4th spot will be a battle between 'Nods & OC.
Great effort by our boys on the weekend. A couple of junk time goals made the gap look bigger than it was. Can sniff that first win....!!

Great effort by you guys, we were very happy to come away with the win, especially after our first half. If you are able to keep the side together for the rest of the year then a win isn't far away.

On another note, having played in ammos for 23 years and played in 2s on sat I have never been involved in a game where the president and many players apologized for the performance of their umpire. It was the worst case of absolute blatant cheating that I have ever experienced. Even staff on bench admitted it and there response was well we get beaten by 20 goals every week so we need someone to help us out.

Apart from this the ground is amazing, surface best in the ammos!! Good luck for rest of the year

Cheers ot. As coach of the 2s side I made a point about it the appropriate people afterwards and we hope the matter will be dealt with by the club. But to clarify your comment about being beaten by 20 goals and needing the help that was obviously misheard. The comment was that we have no one else to do it. We're getting beaten by those margins and it's hard to find help. He's the only person who puts his hand up.

No worries mick, glad you have spoken to the appropriate people.
