I was told the Council were working on the wicket area and had roped it off that's why I asked. My info is probably wrong.

Whilst I will not comment on something I didn't hear, I will answer how you have written the post.
Worst team in the comp. Well if you were on the bottom, doesn't it make you the worst team in the comp!!!
Match Ups, seriously. We knew who to watch for and we went with our best options. They both happen to be 20 yo's on Bromley and Cloke. Obviously it didn't work.
Now the result. Shite they kicked our arse. Best 2.5 quarters of football I've seen this year. I still stay that if we kicked straight in the 1st half, the result could have been different. We didn't, and we lost. Still happy to be 6 and 2.
Our performance reminds me of both Geelong and Melbourne's performances. Just turn up and win. Lack of focus means lack of effort means that in C Grade, any team on the day will beat anyone else. Players were left with Oakleigh singing the song with the right amount of vigour after a club legend played his 250th.

Marcellin are now the worst team in the comp. Until someone takes them lightly and gets they arse handed to them.

If I posted everything I see and hear in VAFA, on BF that paints opposition clubs in a negative light, I could have totally embarrassed two clubs, with ramifications being felt throughout the comp (nothing to do with player payments).
This is a fun site, with big boys/girls having a light hearted bitch about each others team, but if people want to start taking it further, more than happy to close down my account after 11 years.

Walked directly over to the Oakleigh bench as he has done every game this and last year, and was the 1st the clap Trevor Bromley when he was carried off.

Maybe a lot of us a VAFA followers not grade followers.
This is beauty of VAFA football, having followed or played for close to 40 years you make friendships across all sections. In business, the VAFA connection has been priceless for me. I remember one introductory meeting the guy was involved in St Johns and we spoke for 2 hours about VAFA football and then realised we should actually talk about business. Since then, I've always taken an interest in that club. This is why I love VAFA football.
