3 umps in c grade. Lowly d3 gleneira v elsternwick gets one field ump in freezing windy conditions. Good old district sides suffer.

I know i am a little tired on a S unday night but surely the description above of those clubs above is in jest ? Eksternwick have been a H grade rabble for years .

Try umpiring on Como if you want a serious workout .

Try getting a park there and in fact try finding a decent human.

Now now. That's not very nice. Us grammarians just use daddy's city of stonnington gold parking pass .

Come down and have a chardy with me sometime . Unfortunately, we will be swapping grades next year so it might be a bit difficult !

Go Oggers!!

They are the elite, but don't get any helpers, the TM does the boundary in the 2's , what a joke. Anyhow at this stage we might cross paths again.
Whether the conflict is real or perceived it's not a good look having key club officials umpiring their games.

Seriously, most club officials help out umpiring.

I have field umpired the two's, been goal umpire in the one's.

Thats life of a club official. Do your best and best as impartial as possible.

PS Bedders, Oakleigh kicked 4 goals, three from free kicks from me.

I said “key” people Max. In particular key football people. Just don’t think it’s a good look to have (say) a coach, team manager, match committee member running around as an umpire. There’s a conflict - real or perceived.

A coach ? A big difference between a TM and a coach . Talk about over dramatising things.

A lot of our parents live in Geelong . We had a TM do the boundary in the twos .. Big deal.

I detailed early this year when Kew played OI and Kew. Ian Aitken ran the boundary and Chris Naish was the runner.

Good club men as well as senior coaches.

Cheers

The two reserves umpires at Marcellin were good on Saturday .

Maplebet has Rissoles @ 2/1 on. The only possibility of an upset is for the Pirates to hit a real flat spot from here on. Which isn't out of the question btw.:)
He's certainly left the door ajar after last weeks effort

Williamstown will be looking for a big win in the run home to finals against Marcellin this week. A few big ins this week as well with slick ball user Ryan Joy back from his vacation in Europe. Rumours are that he's been disciplined by Monty for his absence and has had time to think about what he wants to get out of footy. CY's will be looking to Joy for a bit of added dash of the half back flank which IMO is what they've been lacking. IMO Joy has been the missing piece in the Williamstown puzzle, look for the Y's took make a deep run into september. watch this space.
