Welcome back Old Scotch and Caulfield Grammarians, good luck to De La Salle and Old Carey. Are the Brendon Goddard led CG they the new Old Brighton? Is this the year OM's finally make the jiump into the top 4? Let's have some fun Big Footy people!

I imagine the next few months will be busy as teams finalise their retention and recruitment.

I believe Caulfield are better placed than when we came up 8 years ago, but the proof will be in the pudding. Both Caulfield and OM's will be celebrating centenary years in 2020 so there is some nice symmetry that they are in the same grade.

On the Cardinals, I know that the GF result doesn't make Scotch look great, but with their Unders & Reserves winning, I think they are well positioned to consolidate in Premier in 2020.

Thanks for your kind words, we certainly had our chances Jimmy, but when a team is allowed to have 9 ex AFL players in a community based competition under dubious qualification rules, what did we really expect?

One thing is for certain though, we and all other clubs will come out firing next year hunting Blues.
Bad luck Doug , 3 GF's in a row is outstanding for those involved.

lol, SKOBAFL get up to A and win B2B premierships by recruiting ex AFL players and some very decent ones at that then whinge when beaten at their own game.

If this was a paid competition, I’d imagine SKOBAFL paying a lot more for their players than the ones Uni Blues picked up

Great result for the comp with a new premier, hopefully someone else can step up next year

No-one pays players in this competition, stupid comment.

Welcome back to Premier Keano15 your boys were superb this year, I think the Scotchies will be very strong and are building very well as a club again.

Skob had a minimum of 18 old boys in the past three grand finals...any danger of sticking to the facts? you had 10 AFL players not a few like a lot of other clubs....eg xavs, OM's.

Congratulations to the blues 22 and coach yesterday, they were the top team all year and played an impressive game to win comfortably. SKOB left to rue what might have been had they taken some of those first half chances.

Full credit also to the Blues coach for the stinging crack at the blues own 'supporters' in his speech, about as fair weathered as it gets only turning up on GF day to see the team play, and even then outside of the reserves players watching they couldn't have had much more than 20-30 people supporting. Sad.
Flanker28 should be commended for his generous after match post. What a pity the other SKOB folk on this board were unable to follow suit .
