It should also be the case that the side is harder to break into than previous seasons.

Worrell, Hinge, Butts, Jones, Smith, Milera, Doedee etc should be in front unless they don't perform in preseason.

However in his first year I wouldn’t be seeing Max as a tall defender , I think he will play on smalls and mediums

But that side from fox needs another attacking ball carrier so I think Parnell gets gig for that reason

Hamill is also an option.

Or my preference to play Hinge in defence & bring in Pedlar or Taylor.

I'd go as far to say that if we could get the Milera that he has always promised to be we would push for the top 8 taking into account the acquisition of Rankine, and the development of our young stars like Fogarty, Rachele, Soligo, Berry, Thilthorpe, Worrell and fingers crossed one of Pedlar or Taylor.

have been critical of our run from behind out of defence, too often kicking our way out

One of my footy Idols growing up as kid in Pt. Augusta played a couple of seasons at Norwood in the 60's Trrevor "Lungs" Grantham, would have probably played a lot more but he reckoned the money was crap so he went back to his job in the Commonwealth Railways (train driver) in Port Augusta and starred for Centrals for years, an all round elite sportsman country rep in cricket, basketball and cricket as well as Ruck/Forward at Aussie Rules. I remember him telling me the NFC organised a Wally Miller Benefit cricket match between the Norwood players angainst a team that included Garfield Sobers amongst others after Wally lost the use of his legs in a football collision....Lungs a ferocious fast bowler bowled Sobers in his first over.

A fit Milera to hb would be the way to fix it. Apart from the Carlton game this year that's where he's played his best footy.
