The difference in athleticism between Shanahan and Armstrong is minimal. So if someone is a great lead, great overhead mark and a great shot at goal..... Honestly did I miss something because **** knows how Richmond had him behind Faull and Sims. Sure Armstrong I can understand due to the better athleticism and more sure sounding interview but we were honestly Kissed on the dick by Shanahan being available.
*Angle lockThe BJJ explains some of our recent injuries. Hedwards the victim of an ankle lock.
The difference in athleticism between Shanahan and Armstrong is minimal.
Armstrong did the 20m in 3.09, Jobe in 3.10, Armstrong has better agility, but Shanahan has a better vertical and did the 2km tt 11 seconds quicker.
Anyway, I'm glad he was overlooked as he and Archer could be a lethal duo in a few years
She goes alright for me...BJ training...
Should send the wife down..... Zing
I would riot if they thought of doing thatNot the only testing done this year. I also think Archer will end up down back.
Would you rather him leave due to logjam of talls? Oscar and Jake still got 6 years left imo, then youve got Jwill who looks a gem and got Jobe who I think is better off as a forward compared to AReid who’s set shot can be very hit or miss.I would riot if they thought of doing that
Someones gotta moveI would riot if they thought of doing that
In case of an emergency yes.Someones gotta move
I’ve just opened a thread for how exactly do we do that.In case of an emergency yes.
Hopefully Gov, Edwards, Bazzo, Brock, Jamieson and Barnett can hold the fort until we can properly address our KD department
So how do you suggest we fit all of Allen, Waterman, J.Williams, A.Reid and Shanahan into the same forward line?In case of an emergency yes.
Clearly we can't fit them all in the forward line. It's not my job to figure it out.So how do you suggest we fit all of Allen, Waterman, J.Williams, A.Reid and Shanahan into the same forward line?
If you want to claim that Allen is leaving at the end of 2025(highly unlikely), how do you suggest fitting the other 4 into the same forward line?
Most clubs run with 2 KPFs and 1 ruck/fwd btw
You can say the same about all of them.Clearly we can't fit them all in the forward line. It's not my job to figure it out.
Reid's potential as a KF is too great to be playing back long-term though.
I dunno... are those three things even that important for a tall forward? So if someone is a great lead, great overhead mark and a great shot at goal..... Honestly did I miss something because **** knows how Richmond had him behind Faull and Sims. Fair praise Shuey just gave Archer Reid and Bo Allan on Back Chat pod.
Archer big boy who moves likes he’s 6 foot. He understands things really well and can implement them. Do things at training that the experience players and still grasping. Great team mate.
Bo is playing with confidence and swagger like Harley last years preseason. Exciting to watch in the little bit of match sim we have done.
27min mark
All of Shanahan, Archer and Barnett spend chunks of time playing KPDer in their 2 years playing U18. No problems playing that role and then either stay there or move forward.
I’m pretty sure that must have been a typo, because according to big footy Bo can’t kick, unless he just got lucky with that one."Draftee Bo Allan impressed at one stage when he stormed through the middle of the drill, clearing a path for himself before finding All-Australian forward Jake Waterman inside 50 with a penetrating kick."
Noice
Noah Long to come back as well, he was looking brilliant before he’s knee injury.
We have a shit load of options up forward.
Not to be a kent, but i'd hardly call Schlong brilliant in 2024. His debut season was much better.
He kicked 2 goals from 7 games and didn't lay a tackle either of his final 2 games before eventually getting subbed off late vs the Bombers (the game Cripps ruined for everyone by overturning Watermans clutch mark).
I get everyone loves him, he's a solid player and exceeding expectations for a pick 58, but the carry on makes it seem like he's the craftiest player since Boomer Harvey. Bloke is realistically coming from a long way back now he's had an ACL, i'd be well and truly tempering expectations and just hoping he can return safely through the WAFL.
He was Melbourne's midfield coach this past season and they were not good in clearances this year (from memory and doubt we rank greatly either). I mean it was a bit of a tumultuous year for Dees midfield so thats probbaly a factor too but that comment adds up a bit.Later on in that segment, Shuey talks about not doing any stoppage work this side of Christmas as they’ll get into that after the break
Interestingly he also said that they weren’t likely to be a team chasing a 15+ clearance differential each week as that wasn’t part of McQualter’s philosophy. Unsure if that’s a good or bad thing
You should have heard the applause from his team mates after he hit his first target for the preseason.I’m pretty sure that must have been a typo, because according to big footy Bo can’t kick, unless he just got lucky with that one.
