If Reid isnt fit just play him forward......
By his own admission he's only competitive for the first bounceIt’s good to see Barnett has put on size but thats not his issue. When drafted he was more physically developed than a lot 18 years old ruckmen and last season would have been around the mid 90kgs which is a frame that is big enough to be competitive.
3 absolute puddings...Looks so unfit
Interesting point, I noticed Hewett had different shoes in photos..For those that go down to training, do you see the players change their shoes/boots?
From the photos, it looks like the players are doing their running in mid-high stack high cushioned half/marathon type distance shoes.
I think Brockman’s may have carbon plates in them…
They are great running shoes, very fast but definitely not meant for lateral movements side to side so I would assume they would throw their boots on for the drills.
I wonder if the shoes have anything to do with the hard surface… those runners are built for pounding the pavement

Can’t say I notice them changing shoes very often, but you’ll often see the rehab guys only wearing running shoes, which gives you a good indication they’re not doing much ball work in that session. Whereas the rest of the group does the whole session in footy boots as far as I know. For those that go down to training, do you see the players change their shoes/boots?

A lot of them swapped out the runners for boots after the beep test the other day. Can’t say I notice them changing shoes very often, but you’ll often see the rehab guys only wearing running shoes, which gives you a good indication they’re not doing much ball work in that session. I think for the proper fitness trials they use runners though and then change into boots after.
Anyone tell me if HJ is back in main training? If so is he in the Midfield or backline group?

I'm hoping that Barnett's improved physique translates into additional self confidence which will help him. His problem, to me, seems to be a lack of self belief and being quite easy to mentally rattle. Hopefully the bigger rig gives him more self belief. It’s good to see Barnett has put on size but thats not his issue.
