The worst thing about West Aussies is their love for colgate flavoured milkshake and milk.Don't diss the spearmint milkshake please. Nectar of the gods.
Very good comparison. Trying to nail his Dark Greeting without getting your arse kicked is one of life’s great challenges.• Flynn moves a bit like Gun-Jack from Tekken but pushed forward in match sim to good effect.
We should start a petition to get Sandy Brock's number 05Can’t have an article mention Sandy Brock without mentioning he’s Peter Brocks nephew.
Seemed like a decent match sim today.
Cheers. Can you see any of the 2024 draft class debuting early?Caught some of the session today but by the time I arrived at 9.30 they had completed their warmups and were already into a ball movement drill. As was the case prior to Christmas there was a heavy focus on ball movement but they did break into a full ground match sim for about 15-20 minutes late in the session
Interspersed with the ball drills was a couple of 400m runs and a shuttle run in pairs to finish where the players ran from one side of the centre square and back, then tag with their partner who then did the same. Each player did about of 5 reps each
They finished about 11.15 so I’m guessing at a 2 hour plus session overall
According to the club all but Bazzo (foot) and Yeo (eye) trained - I didn’t spot Edwards, Chesser, Sheed or Petruccelle at any stage but some players were on the outer oval well away where I was watching from
A lot of the drills were also at the southern end of the ground some distance from my position so it was difficult to make out who was who. The match sim I had trouble making out match ups at that end - so didn’t pick up that Shanahan was playing as a defender
Random player notes
• Baker brings a lot of intensity to training which showed up in the match sim
• Hunt looked to be more half back than wing in the match sim which is a departure from pre Christmas
• Ginbey was prominent and laid one really strong tackle
• Hewett continues to impress
• Reid settled into match sim nicely alleviating some concerns over his fitness
• Duggan was playing as a mid prior to his corkie and was finding the ball regularly
• Cripps and Owies were both busy as half forwards
• Hough sat out the match sim I think but after reports of him having work done on his groin last week he was moving fine today
• Gov was very good
• Archer Reid is going to be hard to keep out of the side. Was impressed with him again
• They seem keen to get the ball into Maric’s hands off half back
• Flynn moves a bit like Gun-Jack from Tekken but pushed forward in match sim to good effect. No ruck contests in match sim and Bailey Williams wasn’t playing either
• Cole was good and no longer has his thumb in a cast
• Hall looks keen to press for a game and is playing with good aggression
• Davis had some good moments in the wing
• Dewar was also good in the opposite wing including a good run down one side before delivering the ball inside 50
• Hutchinson did the full session as far as I could tell which is a good sign after he was in reduced loads pre Christmas
There were no NGA or WAFL squad players today
Why not many mentioned about James Van Es being distance relative of Wayne CareyCan’t have an article mention Sandy Brock without mentioning he’s Peter Brocks nephew.

And who do you like the look of more out of Sandy Brock (nephew of Peter Brock) and Van Es?

Thoughts on Monday training from Schofield
Tried one the other day and that is hand down the worst milkshake you can get (worse than bloody spearmint). Literally tastes like cough syrup
Yes, haven't seen or heard much of Hutch, was showing great potential back end of last season and presumably a best 23 starter, but where?Hey Keys have you seen where Hutch is mainly positioned when they do match sims / full ground work?
Watching him live at GMHBA in the final round of last year, I was very impressed.So. Is the Rhett Bazzo Experience close to over?
I know he's still young but he's undersized, doesn't appear overly athletic, has missed a large volume of critical developmental football and is made out of an underwhelming combination of fine porcelain and soggy cardboard.
I don't dislike the guy but I just don't see him making the grade with the way things have/are panning out for him . Things will be pretty ruthless at the club as we try and build the jigsaw for our next attempt at the flag.
It’s called a grimace shake cause everytime you take a sip you grimacePurple drank.
Macca's know what 4 year olds want.
If Van Es or Brock have good years, Gov goes around again in 2026, Barnett fully commits to being a KPD, Edwards has a good year, and we want Shanahan to be a KPD, then there is a world where Bazzo is let go IF he doesnt stay healthy.So. Is the Rhett Bazzo Experience close to over?

In an ideal world Archer gets the early part of the season dominating the WAFL with a decent side around him and can then come in when inevitably Oscar gets injured.Even without Darling we have enough good quality talls up front that someone will miss out (JWill or AReid).
Be interested to see what happens, they're both good enough I think by a long way, very easily AFL standard.
I'm excited for the premiership win this year, it's been too long.
agree, injuries have cruelled Bazzo and doesn't look good for him long term but he is next man up after Gov and Edwards so if he can have a reasonable year and get over injury he would be a decent depth player while the next generation develops. If Van Es or Brock have good years, Gov goes around again in 2026, Barnett fully commits to being a KPD, Edwards has a good year, and we want Shanahan to be a KPD, then there is a world where Bazzo is let go IF he doesnt stay healthy.
I think he more than likely gets another contract.
In 2 years time we could have a KPD roster of Edwards, Shanahan, Bazzo, Maric, Barnett? one of VanEs/Brock and maybe another kid(Curtin?).
I think we will need Bazzo there ideally, he would be the second oldest there at 23 years of age, still young for a KPD. Even if hes not our long term option at least he will be big enough to do it, he will be needed still while younger KPDs develop.
JW will be bench at worst supplying ruck cover and forward cover, he has shown enough that he is next man up after Oscar and WatermanIn an ideal world Archer gets the early part of the season dominating the WAFL with a decent side around him and can then come in when inevitably Oscar gets injured.
J Will should not be missing out though unless injured.

Jesus, i'd memory holed the Darling trade. I'm not sure i'm going to be prepared to see him running around in a North top.Even without Darling we have enough good quality talls up front that someone will miss out (JWill or AReid).
