I "sore" that but gave them the benifit of the doubt that it was deliberate attempt at humour due to the following paragraph discussing those that trained away from the group.View attachment 2207490
Cut them some slack it's not that bad for the Year 1s they apparently have writing this
What ever happened to the building shelters in Columbia?
Bit of a write up on Van Es that (unsurprisingly) doesn’t provide a lot of new or detailed information/analysis
Basically says if he gets his body right he has the physical attributes to be a very good player.
Why have no Harleys when you can go all in and embrace the Harleys. Preseason camp in Bunbury, training at Brunswick Oval, home of the Harley Brunswick Leschenault Lions (for one week only) with clinics run by hometown heroes Brady Hough, Clay Hall and Harley Reid. The no Harley's football retreat club.

Cambodia, Columbia, potato, potahto
Columbia, Colombia, tomayto, tomahto.Cambodia, Columbia, potato, potahto
Ehh I think that was back in 2006ish timesWhat ever happened to the building shelters in Columbia?
Van Es can be as good as Eric Mackenzie IMO.
Saints would have never cut him if he was likely to get over his injuries though
We used to say that of our ruckmen until all of a sudden we had none.Has similar athletic attributes but Big Ezy had so much heart, would be very pleasantly surprised if he gets almost as good. Such an underrated player for us, would have been All Australian were it not for his own injuries.
Side note we've been so blessed with KPDs across the journey, there's not been a single season since 1991 we haven't had a key defender in the squad who was multiple AA across their career and who played for over a decade for us.
Jakovich 1991-2004
Glass 2000-2014
McGovern 2011-Current (debuted 2014)
With overlap from McIntosh (1991-2003 and an AA himself), Mackenzie (2007-2018 and AA quality at his best IMO), and Barrass (2015-2024 and AA quality also).
Not sure if there's been another club in the AFL era to have had such perfect overlap with their quality tall backs?
My Wagin boyAnd Peter matera….except matera would have a ping from 60-65.
nah, it's pőtãtō. Fool.Who the f*ck says potahto tho?
Probably vegans.
what you need now lad?Sets sail for home… and the Eagles have hit the front!
Has there ever been another player in all clubs like Matera, pinging 60-65m snags on the run along the boundary? And Peter matera….except matera would have a ping from 60-65.
My bad, the ol' memory glitches...Fairly certain the south West pre-season training camp is an annual event. Have seen similar photos in previous years.
He has not been impressive at training yetVan Es can be as good as Eric Mackenzie IMO.

Just re-watched the Gather Round game against the Swans.
Some things of note:
- Jamo is way too slow to play KPD long term
- Noah Long can kick a 50m set shot
- T.Kelly can kick a 50m goal off 3 steps.
- J.Williams can kick a 45m snap for goal 10m in from the boundary off one step under immense pressure.
We were competitive for 2.5-3 quarters

Which was it? I'd argue OOF.Pinged a couple of Matera like snags at Gilbert Fraser Reserve Nth Freo............ helped by howling 80-90km/h sth westerly off the ocean.
Mind you going the other way, I remember one snap going backwards from where I kicked it.
Nearly as embarrassing as the time in a GF when I tried to move the ball quickly from full back and flushed the back of goal post and the umps stopped the game to consult whether it was OOF or a re-kick.
If Jamo gets through pre-season and finally has a year with no injuries can you see him breaking into the team and having a role?Jamo isn't too slow to play KPD. He was found out as too reactive and his injuries have almost certainly already derailed any chance he had.
Now Edwards, he is good at reading the play and the man but is very, very slow.
