Well hell, I had been thinking 2-4 wins this year, finish 2nd last, but with almost no blowouts and a positive kids vibe.

And here’s me worrying about being the ultimate killjoy with all those overly optimistic posters thinking of a 9-12 finish.

I think after next years off season, this one will look like genius, we may get Warner, plus there’s a range of midfield options available, including Harley’s future brother in law. If we come out of this season, with being more competitive but less wins, I’m ok with that. Especially considering the new game style teething issues that will happen. Maybe yeo makes it back for second half of year and plays well, maybe not….not such an issue if other mature bodies (Grahame, Duggan, baker, Kelly, Ryan) stay healthy.

He's a legit premiership hero and I think I had him 4th best on ground in the grand final (behind Shuey, Adams, Schofield) but Sheed is pretty much cooked.

Great servant of the club and downgrading that pick 6 essentially netted us Yeo as well (dumbass freo) but I don't think he's making a legit high level comeback from his rooted ankle/foot.

Hewett is on a deload cycle atm but with full fitness Hewett and Hall are coming for that midfield spot.

Shame Yeo wont be fully fit round 1. Hopefully he can get the rehab done and be back in the openning 6 to 8 weeks.

Any inside intel why Sheed hasn't retired?

Is it a case of wanting to be paid his contract, door not entirely closed on his career if rehab goes well or is he just refusing to accept that he's done?

Plus the fellow workers ( other teachers ) . Lots of teachers transferring schools every year . I'm in the industry and I observe this , personality problems within , when they need to support each other , easier to just move schools .

Hutch had it from his first game, just didn’t have the conditioning and speed to keep up with the game but constantly getting to good spots and making positive impacts.

Really excited to see what he can bring with a proper offseason in a professional environment.

The silver lining here is that there is an opportunity for Hutchinson to really develop in that two-way, dynamic inside midfielder role. Maybe even Hall and/or Bo Allan get a bit of time in there too.

Yeo out and Graham in at least covers the big body inside .

But it is a massive loss in pace in the middle unfortunately.

Might have to have petch and ryan playing some centre bounces otherwise we are slow and will struggle to cover opponents on the spread

It’s not about whether his body can handle it - it’s that he’s just not that good in the midfield. Much better small defender
