Cotchin sets a new season high while Dion swings into third spot overall. Grigg's picking it up while Butler's trending downwards and is below his best. Conca keeps building. His pressure now matches his disposals and tackles as he plays full-time stoppage mid.

Great work Nim as I said in the autopsy Cotchin had a great game with all of his close inside work and this stat backs it up. Also Conca and the Concretor had big games in this area just indicated how much work our mids were doing in nullifying Gawn’s 276 Hit outs.

Graham gets another gold despite a poor game offensively. Lambert has his worst game of the year while Edwards and (more so) Grigg are both showing their offensive plays are what keep them relevant. Dusty's lifted a little this week, hopefully that's a return to form rather than an outlier from the new normal.

We already know Higgins offensive game wasn't great this week but this shows neither was his defence. Stengle is the form small at VFL level, maybe he will get a run next week or maybe Townsend comes back in for structure.

Apologies if posted elsewhere but if we add these totals up does that give us our pressure rating?

No, pressure rating gives an arbitrary value to the different types of pressure being applied and I suppose the value given is the average pressure applied to each opposition possession

Graham gets his 4th gold in 6 matches. 2nd season and he might already be the best defensive midfielder in the league. Lord help us if he turns in offensive performances like yesterday on a regular basis.

George had a stinker. Off the charts bad. I had to triple check it it was that low.

Nothing else new or out of the order to report by my eye.

Nank and Towner each get their first medal of the season. Rance goes and shows this stat isn't everything when he fails to record a single one.

I'm not done updating all of 2017 but I can tell you now that Conca and Short are way up on last year while Dusty and Grigg have taken big steps back.

Concerning for Short to be way up, and still 3rd worst.

Thanks for doing this, it is a good insight into another view of the performance of players.

I wonder if there is a correlation between offensive games and PA's.

Ie: Cotchin & Caddy had their best offensive games for the year and were both almost 50% below their normal PA levels. Maybe it is just those days when you read it a half second earlier.

I could try mapping it against disposals in a couple weeks time when I'm on a uni break.

I reckon Grigg's decrease might coincide with him playing a lot more outside this year. Not entirely sure why - I think he's a better mid than wing.

As much as I love Grigga, I reckon last year might have been his career best season. It happens sometimes. Players feel their last season coming and really give everything they have. He might have been top 3 in the B&F, this time last season.

Probably playing a bit more outside in 2018, as you say, but IMO, his just not able to keep up that 2017 form and effort. Nearly impossible at the ripe old age of 30.

Nothing really jumps out at me. I noticed in person that Moore was a little slow to chase. The numbers reflect that here. Maybe just tired trying to back up his fist AFL match in two years. Loved his game and definitely earns another go but needs to try and keep up with Townsend/Riewoldt in addition to some of his offensive work.
