Last year we lost by 23 but given the Saints accuracy probably should have been more but for the sake of improvement we need to lose by less then 23

Take out the Montagna and Riewoldt factor and we win by 23.

Saint Kilda was the patron saint of grammar pedants.

He performed the miracle of succinctly explaining how and when a semicolon should be used.

St or Saint Kilda, pretty much the same right?
Nope. The team St Kilda hails from the suburb St Kilda which was named after a ship of that name which was named after a group of Scottish Islands of that name which as far as anyone knows was not named after a Saint.

I assume we’re waiting for the team to get down to Melbourne tomorrow so Browny can present Rayner with his jumper and we’ll use that in the media.

If I've done my stats correctly Riewoldt has missed 11 games for the saints since 2015. Their only win was against Carlton in 2016.

Think he and Montagna's influence is being undervalued greatly. In with a big chance of causing an upset.

Apparantly we're at around $4 to win this.

This being the case, I'm going to plonk a lazy $20 on us.

The importance of the "laziness" of a wager can't be emphasised enough.

I am deliberately going to sleep in tomorrow, have a relaxed breakfast, a lazy cuppa, a few yawns and stretches, before lazily driving the less than 800meters to the nearest betting point. Then I'll casuallly pull out a 20 and in as disinterested a manner as possible, take at least 5 minutes to actually place the bet.

Everyone knows that "lazy" bets have so much more of a chance of being winners than if they're well........not so lazy.

Yeah if I recall, Joey & Roo pretty much tore us apart by themselves in that game.

Will be interesting.

Dodongo is tempted to put the house on it.

Mikey would like to know Dodongos thoughts on round 1 and the womens GF

Dodongo is going to take Mrs Dodongo on a Nordic/Scandanavian 3 week holiday should the Lions win. Dodongo thinks that will make up for last year. Dodongo is looking forward to the match. Dodongo made it abundantly clear to Mrs Dodongo that Dodongo is not to be interrupted Saturday afternoon.

Dodongo hopes we beat the Saints but Dodongo must also be realistic. Dodongo sees us winning about 5-6 games this year with 7 being the max, so hopefully this is one of them. At $4 Dodongo is tempted.
