More to the point, we don't deserve shit. A team with this much talent shouldn't be winning just 3 games in a year. It simply shouldn't be happening. If the mental demons are banished and sustained effort becomes physically and mentally achievable across an entire year, the rise up the ladder will be swift.

If you imagine that we're making our way up a proverbial pipe, it's like we've come across a sizeable obstacle and are pushing and pushing to try and get it out of the way. We've dislodged it slightly with a few performances this year, but it's still very much in place. Once we finally remove it completely, we're going to explode upwards with all the momentum we've previously put in.

It's not a normal situation. It's not a normal 17th-placed team. It's not a normal reason for being shit. It's a team that's worse than 90% of other second-last teams in history because it should be much better than 90% of second-last teams throughout history.
