After Neale got pinged HTB when it should've been in the back early in the 4th Butters (I think) gave Zorko a gut punch which based on Zorkos reaction is worth a week

I think alot of people here love Joe cause he's so spectacular. That's all very nice but being speccy is icing on the cake....not the cake.

What you mistake as fault is actually part of why our team is so good. No one player is 'the cake'. We are a champion team more than a team of champions. The players have bought in, know their roles and give it all for each other. Joe plays his role and does a damn good job in the process.

I love him as he does both the spectacular and the ridiculous, he makes watching footy fun ( as do quite a few others) if i wanted to watch people play like robots i would have supported Freo then ditched them for the Saints

Here's a fun thought - Joe kicked 191 goals for the Bombers in 108 games. So far for the Lions he's kicked 141 from 67 games, including 56 this year alone. He's likely to finish his career with more goals for the Lions than his original club, maybe even by the end of next season.

How good is our forward line!!! Best in the competition regardless of how the ball comes in. Love how they all compete, defend now like their lives depend on it & once in our 50, keep it there until we score. (most of the time)
My second trip to the gabba. First time a while ago when we were not nearly as good, do not memorable.
A great experience with my son.The noise was a bit of a shock as were the songs after every goal. It worked... because we won. A lot different to the Melbourne experience, always being the away side.
The game? Well executed. The umpiring? Not great.
Will I back up in 2 weeks time? Need to build up the points in the bank again
but yeah. I think we can meet the next challenge.

Are you in Victoria? I’ve noticed a difference in the lions chant between in Melbourne and at the Gabba - in Melbourne it seems to be more drawn out and gloating like some of the other teams chants, whereas at the Gabba it’s faster and more aggressive, almost a “F*ck you” to the opposition
