Thanks again for all the advise regarding my attempt to connect the computer to the tv to watch the Box Hill games on a bigger screen. What happened in the end was really quite amusing. I bought the amplified HDMI cable, all the required connections and attachments about $300. On mothers day speaking to son at Ballarat (has a Masters in Technology) hadn't asked him for his advise. Said mum look on the TV it probably has an Internet Browser app, which it did have. Can immediately get onto AFL.com.au and there is the live stream. Just shows how silly mum's can be. Luckily I can return all the purchases.

Asking for a friend who wanted to watch a Hawks practise in Waverley.
What days does the Hawks normally practise outdoors?
Can I assume normally every Tuesday and Thursday morning?

What is a Captain's run?
Is it held every week (and what day)?

Thanks

Someone like TheFourPillars or The_Axeman might be able to help you out here.

Coming down to Melb with my son to watch us smash the Blues. I haven't been to an MCG game for a few years and was wondering if we can still scan our membership cards to get into the ground or do we need to buy a reserved seat?

Scanning in should be fine to access the GA. If you want to be safe and guarantee a seat then you should reserve, although I highly doubt the game will sell out with the form the Blues are in

The Hawks need to find new concepts. Sam said something like, “if we do what others are doing now we will loose. We have to come up with what we can do a few years from now and do that better than our opposition.”
The designed top spinner kick into the fwd line is something the Hawks should employ. Interceptors currently rule the AFL. They do that on seeing the kicker and the trajectory of the ball based on it spinning backwards. So kick the ball with fwd spin when going into the fwd line. If our fwds know the spin, they will know the trajectory and react 1st.
At the least the backmen will not get the mark and our small will go to town. At best out fwds will take the marks.
Kicking around the corner was stupid for years until it was proven to be more accurate.
Top-spinners into the fwd line may be of similar vale.

This ain't cricket.

Also, there's nothing more infuriating than seeing Harry McKay kick around the corner from directly in front only to miss. And that's as someone who likes seeing Carlton suffer. Kick a ****ing drop punt!

Kicking around the body says they're not confident kicking a drop punt straight, doesn't it?

Even stranger, Harry's been kicking those around the body shots from greater than 30m out and inevitably falling short.

Tomorrow's game at Heritage Bank Stadium (Carrara) has the box hill game and the Main game one after the other. Does the ticket for the main game get you in to the box hill game?

Hi all, travelling over for the Hawks/Tigers game this weekend and had intended to buy tickets in the AFL Reserve section with the entitlements that Telstra subscribers are offered. As only individual seats were offered, I intended to buy 3 individual seats for my mates and I, then stand at the back of the bay.

Unfortunately it turns out there were only two tickets available.

Now that we've decided to sit in the GA sections, I have two individual tickets in the AFL reserve available.

Would anyone be interested?

Paid $22 each. Great seats and access to the better facilities at the G.

1 is in section M17 and the other M18.

Not sure if it has been asked before.
With expectations always high amongst the Mighty Fighting Hawks supporters & fans, our young team showing signs of what could be in 3-5 yrs time.
If it happens then what team would you like us to play and beat in a GF?
I'd like us to beat a new club, Suns, Port, Adelaide, Brisbane, gws.
I would like to beat the tigers but I don't think they will be up n about then,
Carlol might be but I would love for us to beat the biggest team in Australia......the Magpies
