Something still needs to be done about that forward line if we are to be taken seriously in September.... but who knows, that might be Joe in 2014. Crameri just hasn't shown that he can keep fit for 22 rounds and either has Hurley which does not help the assessment but currently, this is our biggest Achilles heel.

I agree the forward line needs work but it was good to see Hurley one on one in the forward 50 with Crameri and a few others dropping back there.

We need them to string some games together and take their chances but tonight was encouraging.

On other notes, I know Pears one-on-one work is not where it should be but he is proving to me that he can be a damaging attacking defender. He's looking lean and I'd like him developed as a half back flanker - he just doesn't have it as an out and out defender but he can be an attacking weapon.

Got beaten plenty in one-on-one contests, but didn't drop his head and kept on trying to set-up attacking plays from defence.

Still very tentative with a lot of his decisions, hopefully that sorts it's self out with playing football consistently, instead of being on the sideline for long stretches.

I think Dalgleish just played himself onto the senior list next year.

A lot to like about the young fella.

There is a lot to like about Dalgleish - he's a good size, moves well, nice skills. We need to find out whether he has ticker and a footy brain to go with all these other outstanding attributes.

I like how the coaches are using him as an option for kick-in's, can take the opposition player on the mark on if space permits, at the same also has a penetrating left foot.

We have been very one-dimensional with our kick-in's this year, even Jobe had to step-in to change things up at one stage.

Went to the game by myself expecting an absolute smashing, thought that if I could get through tonight I'd be able to get through anything in regards to the club. Can't really express how awesome that was.

- Hurley was really good.
- Jobe Watson needs a new goal kicking technique
- The support for Jobe by the fans was seriously ****ing awesome, the atmosphere when he lines up for goal or when he takes a mark is nuts. Boos and cheers everywhere. Oppostion fans are really just helping bring Ess fans closer to the club with this shit. Keep booing for all I care, the cheers will grow louder and louder from Dons fans and the passion will grow.
- Witnessed a Carlton fan get out of his seat, walk over and have a bit of push and shove with an Essendon fan which was pathetic. Ess were on a roll and the Ess fan was celebrating like crazy but nothing overboard that warranted it. Ess fan just laughed it off really. This is all just my version of events though. Something might have happened that I didn't see to start it all.
- What was the Essendon fan thinking who ran on the field after we had finally gotten some momentum? Caused a delay that we didn't need. Fool.

On the train there I heard a Carlton fan saying how if Carlton make finals she hopes they lose because she hates Malthouse and is pissed with the club for what they did with Ratten. :p

Such a good night.

Just puked everywhere because the fish and chips from the MCG is about as edible as a home-cooked Caro meal.

And I give 0 fux.

Love this club.

The scenes in the room at the end of the game, the players calling out the coaching panel, and all the others that have been charged by the AFL to join in on the club song, the picture the press do not want to paint.

Never been so emotional at a game. When the siren went I absolutely lost my shyte, broke 3 chairs & unloaded a massive barrage of abuse at a Carlton flog who was giving me the shits all game. Once I'd calmed ever so slightly I must have hugged at least a dozens total strangers. I turned to look down my ilse & there was an older lady with tears streaming down here face & emotion overtook me & I shed a tear. I love this club & will till the day I die.

Right way to approach it from Hird, shackles off, go back to old fashion kamikaze handball and try to generate a bit of confidence, run and share.

Love the way we built the wall at halfback, Hardy and Hooker dropped a couple of marks, but they chopped off a hell of a lot of ball coming out.

I love Baugley, his ball use can be erratic, but used it well tonight as well as being super desperate in defence. Pears and Dalgleish also really good rebound.

Hocking beat Murphy, who while being an absolute pea heart usually cuts us up, he also smashed yarran, which is incredibly appropriate.

Joe needs to be locked in our big indoor field all summer with a bag of balls, once the radar comes good he will absolutely dominate. Him and Hurley together will be beast.

Merrett is a new favourite, his tackles are unbreakable, it's actually quite incredible.

BJ is a big game player, and that was a big game, great acquisition, gun.

Davey non existent but future bounty is too glorious to ignore, 99 down, 1 to go.

Was pleased with Kommer's propensity to occasionally do stuff tonight, one of his better games.

We showed up, that was always going to be the question, because we are definitely better than they are, regardless of whether we know they're coming or not

GODDARD'S ELECTRIC BOOTS CHANGE, SHIFTED MOMENTUM I TELL YOU KNOW!!

Any way that was down right amazing in every sense of the word, even more so amongst the Carlton Members around me. LAPPED IT UP AND LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT.

Also Carlton fans with some ground-breaking humour when coin was tossed and Jobe won it.

"Injecting the coin too know you cheats" Gonna take a while to pick myself up from that one. HARD-HITTING!
