As much as those campaigners are cheats, when the mark is taken on the goal line, the umpire is standing in line with the man on the mark and Daniher jumps from half way up the square and lands within a metre and a half of the end of the goal square, it would have to have been called. Well that last quarter was interesting!

Two things I loved about Newman's game last night. Firstly, he shaved off that stupid beard, nice work son. Second, he has shown again what a cool customer he is with ball in hand. He doesn't panic. That goal was great, but also in general play he buys himself time and lowers his eyes with every kick. Fawlty Towers could learn a thing or two from the kid.

Well, I think I'll watch those last 4 minutes AGAIN and again...and again.

We have to start kicking straighter, or else we are going to start finishing on the wrong side of those close ones again.

Luckily in the last 2 mins we essentially didn't give the whistle blowers time to coordinate something else.

Saw him in the lifts at half time and he apologised for the episode last week causing him to miss this week! Told him not to worry about it, we liked his aggro and backed him in. Should have told him to learn a bit of 'sneaky' while I was at it.

I was really shocked by how slight he is. I reckon he's only about 5.11 (maybe less) and if he weighs more than 85kgs I'd be stunned.
